301  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Summer 2020 Transfer Window on: July 29, 2020, 16:47:59 pm
Turnbull struggled in L1 for Coventry didn't he?

Maybe Vadaine has already signed up and it just hasn't been announced yet?

Goode was always going to leave, we don't have the capacity to turn down bids of a certain amount and I also assume Goode would want to play in the Championship, it isn't always a lack of ambition to keep a player.

We know the club have said they have held conversations about Morton/Wharton - if one of both of them don't want to come back, what can the club do?

McCormack, too expensive for the games he plays but agree he would have been good to keep.

Ultimately, glass half full or glass half empty, right?

It's a very very different scenario to the Rob Page summer and if you can't see that then more fool you.

I dont know if anyone has read the article in the athletic today. I dont read the thread, or forum that often as its just bickering mostly!

But it says that they have seen documents that outline the agreement re the stand and its not quite as simple as reported elsewhere, neither is it a 'sweetheart deal'. Could see both the club and council make a few million. The club will initially pay a nominal fee for an option on the lands freehold. This option will last for five years and it cannot be excercised until the stand is finished.  Once that is done the club can excercise an option for a further 500k but it must also pay for ground condition surveys to find out what they can put on the land. Some believe it to be amost worthless, apparently the owners think they can house warehouses.

To be honest I, like most others i would assume just want to see the stand finished. Can only hope it will start this summer.

Good information, very interesting and does raise some questions.

Yeah just order a cable from Amazon that goes into your phone and has HDMI on the other end and that will give you the ability to out it on your TV.

VintageCobbler causes so much damage to the Trust. There's some good people involved with the Trust, a real shame.

Not everyone wants to be a football hipster.

If in doubt bring it back to Brian Lomax. Nice.

You put me off the Trust. The fact you support them.

Moron.

I donít think they are. As I said in my initial post.

As far as I can see, it is the customary way in which CERTAIN elements of the Trust reacted to the money being refused, that appears to have got a reaction... Most people are bored of the childish point scoring against the club.

Iím sure the Trusts intentions were nothing other than honourable.

Could not agree more.

The Trust (Barton) comes across as petty, childish and looking to score points.

Not questioning the Trusts intentions. They could be a fantastic supporters trust. At the moment, they are not. Doesn't mean they don't have the clubs best interests at heart. They need to be more professional.

I will finish with this, the club could have ended the Trust, obliterated them if you will. Chose not to. Chose to not comment on them.

Does it mean I agree with everything the club does? Absolutely not.

Anyway, off to send KT a belated valentine's card.

Makes sense. Got their own forum now haven't they where they can whip themselves into a frenzy and pretend they speak for the "people".

Terry Fenners put it perfectly "there is no appetite for it".

Two things need to happen. 1. The Trust needs a complete overhaul and complete rethink, it's a clique, it is full of people with an agenda and they are utterly childish. (Good people in the main by the way, but brainwashed)

Weren't the community trust asked first?

If so can I have some please.
318  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: February 28, 2020, 21:17:55 pm
There is no connection between the two.

I cannot elaborate on that.

Hi Kelvin.

At the moment nobody is winning from this sorry debacle.

I personally think Dan was clearly stating he wants a return to the club for Jimmy Floyd.
