Agree with this, trouble is itís the hope that kills you.

Isn't it just. Football has a way, when you've given up hope of reeling you back in. Which is why football will always be a twat but we love it.
62  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Charlton away Tuesday 09/03/21 on: March 10, 2021, 12:47:26 pm
I didn't think it was a penalty, I guess i can see why it was given in real time but the ref was looking to give them decisions all night, was only a matter of time.

Don't think there is overly need to panic after losing last night, they're a strong team who do the dark arts well.

Assume we'll be 6 up by half time.
64  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Pompey on: March 06, 2021, 21:20:53 pm
To be fair, Drilling's emphasis is on a first half performance...which given the opposition, or moreover, the position the Cobblers are in... certainly one of the best ever for me!

The Kettering guy (Graham?) has been brilliant on Radio Northampton/I-Follow in his last couple of appearances.
Would like to see Keith Curle as a third addition to the commentary team...forced to watch, but making no comments!  Wink

"So Keith, what do you think about that then matey boy"
"**** off, Tim"
65  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Pompey on: March 06, 2021, 21:19:54 pm
That first 45 minutes was tremendous today, really excellent. The 2nd 45 minutes was good but in a different way.

Really positive stuff, I wasn't sold on Brady but he sure has hell has shown me these last two games.

This is a wave we should try and ride, stay positive everyone!
66  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Season ticket holders on: March 05, 2021, 19:19:05 pm
But it's not about whether people can afford to or not, they spent the money last year and wouldn't be expecting anything back had we been allowed back in.

That's a fair argument mate.
67  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Season ticket holders on: March 05, 2021, 17:44:43 pm
I'd have liked for all ST holders to have their names on the anniversary shirt. Just because one fan can afford to donate to the club doesn't make that fan more loyal or more worthy.

Great news , lots of best wishes on here whilst biting their tongues and grimacing

Mr Right.

69  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Jon Brady on: March 04, 2021, 13:54:25 pm
It feels like a sensible decision.

70  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: THOMAS YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED on: March 04, 2021, 12:09:11 pm
Maybe because you don't want to alienate non ST holders too?

No idea really though and doesn't bother me despite being a ST holder.
71  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: The 'Clare Balding' POTS: Plymouth Argyle (h) 02/03/2021 on: March 02, 2021, 22:43:39 pm
Watson closely followed by Horsfall.
72  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Alex Jones on: March 02, 2021, 22:43:00 pm
Didnít we nearly sign him a few years ago but he went to Bradford? Or we tried to sign him on loan from Bradford? Something like that

Yeah we definitely tried to or were close to signing him.
73  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Plymouth at home Tuesday 02.03.21 on: March 02, 2021, 22:24:07 pm
I just watched his post match interview and I really believed him when he said he loves this club. We need that and I think we want that more than another journeyman manager looking for another paycheck.

Give him the job!

I'm still not fully in the give him the job permanently camp but I certainly can see the sense until summer and then go from there.
74  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Plymouth at home Tuesday 02.03.21 on: March 02, 2021, 22:17:15 pm
Very difficult to not like Brady isn't it, from his interviews.
75  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Plymouth at home Tuesday 02.03.21 on: March 02, 2021, 22:02:38 pm
Rightly so. Horsfall is transformed.
76  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: New Manager on: March 02, 2021, 21:43:42 pm
An announcement tomorrow?
77  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Plymouth at home Tuesday 02.03.21 on: March 02, 2021, 21:33:23 pm
Decent result and we looked very solid.

Tonight was what Curle was trying to do but couldn't.

Don't kid yourself that this was free flowing and entertaining because it wasn't. It WAS organised and we had a plan and it was still more penetrative than under Curle. So a clear improvement.
78  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: New Manager on: March 02, 2021, 16:53:43 pm
+1

If the substitutes were that important to the team they would be starting!

Congratulations on having leas knowledge than Evers when it comes to football.
79  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: New Manager on: March 01, 2021, 20:52:22 pm
which makes every team in the division a good team.

Except us.
