It was a mess and despite Brady's complaints you couldn't give offside for that. It was a pile of bodies and hardly in the spirit of the offside law.
It's beginning to get concerning that we are not winning games until the extreme latter stages. I think people today were expecting us to claw it back after our recent games. We've got to accept there has been a large chunks of luck in our previous matches and today was a bit of a wake up call.
Don't you think Wycombe got a large chunk of luck with that goal today? They offered nothing else all afternoon... We however, played some fantastic passing football & did everything but score... We we're extremely unlucky not to get at least a draw today imo... Just hope JB is still our manager next time we play in the league & Charlton turn their attention elsewhere.

When exactly did he say that ? He has repeated many times that we haven’t got the funds . There is a big difference between the bottom three and just above. An extra £1million to £2 million is enormous on a budget that is circa £2.4 million. Most other clubs operate on about £4 million to £5 million in the bottom half. The Hylton situation is killing us with such restrictive funds.
Totally agree, so why the fvck was Hylton given a two year deal by JB in the first place? Like many at the time, I would have thought 1 year with an option to extend IN OUR FAVOUR, would have been the most sensible decision considering his injury record... Love JB but he's the one that gave Hylton the stupid 2 year contract! Still, I see Hylton was having a lovely time at Luton last night!

yep - when we signed Leonard we were done . Tranmere wouldn’t match McGowan’s wages and so he went nowhere and we couldn’t get the Admiral who went to Exeter . Our budget is miles off everyone except Cheltenham and Carlisle. We haven’t sought further investment and so remain a club punching way above our weight .
Begs the question why we bothered giving McGowan an new two-year contract last season then...

I’ve kept quiet on that subject over the summer as I didn’t want to add to the grumbling about budgets but it’s f***ing infuriating that we haven’t backed Brady this summer. Leonard and Bowie cost a bit more than last year but we’ve had no real marquee signing through the door to swallow the budget (which I’ve heard from many sources is pretty poor). I hope I’m proved wrong and one comes in tonight, but to be at the point where we need to shift someone out to free up some budget is a poor indictment of where we are. And I normally try to put a positive slant on things.
Completely agree, you'd have thought after the JR verdict & non appeal, the owners would have loosened the purse strings a little...don't think the Carney Chukwumeka money ever found it's way to JB either! JB & his team are working absolute wonders just to get us competing at this level & deserve to be backed. I'm not talking loadsamoney either, just a slightly more competitive budget as it could make all the difference in staying up or not... Would not blame JB whatsoever if he fvcked off to Charlton if they do come calling... Such a shame as we've the best management team since the Wilder days

Wasn't Sam one of the players who got a contract extension halfway through last season? If so, he was probably under contract until the end of next season anyway.
Nope, would have been ooc next Summer, thankfully ain't gotta worry about that now

Etete is off out on loan to a fellow league one club. Cheltenham obviously have been mentioned… but he would be a fantastic signing.
Charlton i've heard... Can't see either us or Cheltenham being able to compete financially with them

Guarantee one of them would have been Manchester United forward Charlie McNeill...
Scored against us for Newport last season & highly rated. Pretty sure Brady called him out before/after the game as one to watch...off to bloomin' Stevenage!
We desperately need to get someone in, even an untried cheap rough diamond, else if any one of our current attacking players get injured (which will happen at some point) we've got absolutely nothing in reserve

We need players out to get anything we have to pay for in . 2 days to go though .
So who do we need to get out before any incomings? Hylton & Haynes are the obvious choices, but with both still injured we're stuck with them, til January at the earliest... McGowan would be the one as he's injury prone & 3rd choice right back... Dyche out on loan would not massively increase our budget so who else do we need/want to offload?

Brizzle Rovers allegedly bid £850K for the return of JCH from the scum Just shows what we're up against budget wise in this league... I'm more than happy with us shopping at Lidl & being the underdog in L1 We've never spent proper money well whenever we've had it anyway... Trust in JB to unearth more rough diamonds
