I’ve been up to the last few hours of a deal waiting for them to call. Saturated market on these things so they want to keep you. Top tip be nice to them and they have retention targets so have days where they are more generous!

Pay £20 for Virgin m250 broadband, £29 for sky with multi room.
Diarise contract end dates and go on super haggling brinkmanship.
Do it for all bills and the way I see it the effort vs reward is well worth it. Move bank accounts repeatedly as well for switch bonuses.

I thought that players in their last 6 months of contract are free to speak to other clubs. Even if they were not their agents certainly would be testing this out.
If I recall correctly we made Koiki an offer then he was looking for options but as nothing was forthcoming we were his fall back plan on the back of injuries and has barely featured. Short career that is only one bad injury from being shorter still so don’t blame players for trying to get the best deal for them and their family. We have had a succession of players with ability but are injury prone and often at the end of their careers.
Tough call as a manager and recruitment panel

Considering my expectations of this season was to avoid relegation we’ve done that comfortably. This shows that the squad have the combined ability to perform well at this level albeit the reinforcements of Bowie and Leonard have really helped, Simpson as well once he recovered his mojo.
Leonard is the main one that will be really hard to replace but again as a club we’ve shown that loan players are well managed here and clubs can trust us to support development.
The wages released by loan players returning and contracts expiring should allow for good replacement options. Personally I wouldn’t offer Gape, Moore or Willis a contract as it’s no good being a quality player who in all likelihood is injured more often than not. Fox maybe. Burge - no. Odimayo , McWilliams and Sherring - yes and two out three likely to stay
Appere I would dependant on wages offered and the other forward options signed. Dyche can listen to offers. Abimbola will get released

Apart from gifting them chances I thought Vale were poor and showed why they are in the position they find themselves in. Surprised they didn’t go for it more. Overall I thought we had the potential of a few more gears if needed.
