In fairness, I'd say AFC Wimbledon's return to Plough Lane counts as a success story under fan ownership, not to mention their rise from nothing to a (just about) established League 1 side. They are an isolated example though and were coming from a place where they had absolutely nothing to lose.
I agree but there is the whole romanticised view of the Mcdonald's situation and their close ties with Football manager that have assisted them. I am not sure Northampton would pull the same support from the wider footballing world.

I take it you were actually there? If so that kind of news is heartening.
He was in and out of the game but actually managed to play a couple of through balls (something I haven't seen a cobblers player do in a few years ). One cut their defence in half but BAS had strayed offside.

The real answer would be to get Salford reserve CB Jordan Turnbull back, especially as they have just signed another central defender this week.
Then we get a CB, LB and DM in one go. In my dreams of course!
I am not big on pining for former players but that is a cracking suggestion. He is solid at LB, CB and DM. I would have him back in a heartbeat, I don't get why he was so underrated here.

So back to the task at hand…
Dale have 3 that started their first game of the season out with a 4th just returned post COVID. The CM that’s been drafted into the starting 11 to cover is also out.
We’ve won 2/2.
They haven’t won yet at 3 attempts.
They played on Tuesday night.
We’ve had a week off.
All things point to another win right!?
You are right. Everything points to a Cobblers win. So I will be betting on 1-3 Rochdale 😂🤣😂

100%, I even think Rose adds something to the mix.
I would love to see BAS kick on from his goal, As we could be in a position where we have 4 forwards fighting for places. It's been a while since we have had striking options that could change games on the bench.

As for the Kion Etete swap deal, it does seem to have some relative heat from decent sources but I agree how rare swap deals are, would be an eye brow raiser!
If it is True I'd imagine it would be cash for Caleb and the lad on loan as a sweetener.

3 Mcgowan - Looks like he can deliver a ball 48 Aloki - looked very assured at the back Pinnock - poor first touch let him down, he could have had a couple of clean chances otherwise but looks good. Flores - couple of good touches but mainly absent Lewis - I wasn't that impressed, definitely need at least one combative midfielder in there BAS - Got bullied tbh, spent a lot of time on the floor and was not helped by the injury early on. It looks like Brady doesnt trust him when he says he is hurt. He seemed to ignore him for about 15 mins Kabamba - Looks like a solid target man tbh, hopefully grows into that role for us Connoly - Much the same as pinnock, looks promising
Defense looked good despite the mix up for the first, the 2nd I'd put down to a lack of presence and pressing in the middle of the park.
