Whilst I wouldn’t suggest for a second that anyone from the Trust will individually benefit from their coffers, it’s fair to say that nothing will be going into the hands of the current owners.
Your money is better off in the Danny Hylton charity fund….and I don’t mean his wages!

I guess they could offer KT a few grand to meet them at Costa and buy him some flowers.
Surely if the current members vote for the money to go elsewhere then that is what should happen…or are members not allowed any say in this  Grin

To correct you on one major point.

He said he would no longer work with the current Trust BOARD!

Over to the members!
You are correct of course but seems as the current board have known this since July they’re taking quite some time to resign aren’t  they?
103  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Supporters Advisory Board on: January 25, 2024, 18:09:33 pm
Kelvin has just confirmed that the club will no longer work with the supporters trust because of the past well publicised issues.
Is it fair to still ask people to pay money to join an organisation that has now been officially denounced by its own club?
Surely the issue of what happens to the funds and where they should be transferred to should be urgently addressed before the trust is wound up (I am assuming that is logical as it can no longer act as a supporters trust)
As long as the funds are transferred to the club or supporters board I do think it is ok for those who are anti club to still run it as a pressure group for those who want to join that kind of thing.
Just the ntfc pressure group rather than the ntfc supporters trust.
Start again and get the funding from people who agree with your ideology rather than those who support the club.

Something worth thinking about I think.

Going by KT on the Cobblers Show - unless he’s got a very good poker face - we’re not likely to see much activity if any at all before the deadline closes.
I think Kelvin is bluffing……
Under promise ,over deliver

Back in the L2 season where it ended in tears, Brady was asked on the Cobblers Show who his current favorite L2 player was & he said Jack Diamond (he was on loan to Harrogate from Sunderland) so I guess he would have been interested...

Even so, I don't think we could have competed with Carlisle financially now anyway, they are absolutely splashing the cash under their new owners.

Perhaps, ntfclad can give us an insight (and update re ins & outs!)  Wink

Also, i see he's still contracted to Sunderland, so has joined Carlisle on loan til the end of the season...

It will take him some time to get match fit, & we've already got 5 loans anyway, which i believe is the maximum you can have in a matchday squad.
We will have to be patient because we are in the unusual position of only being able to get new signings if we pay for them.
This window will show the clubs real aspirations.
I’m sure we will be flexing our muscle soon

Wow what a waste of money 😂
Are we able to spend anywhere near this on a striker I wonder
The ones we are looking at won’t be cheap….

Easy to forget Sowerby was one of Curles signings
Sowerby reminds me of a young Albert Craig.

I assume that's loans done unless anyone gets called back, obviously we all pray that won't be the case.

Makes sense to bring in a keeper of this level and get Dadge out playing games.

I guess the big question is do we think that's the business done for the window unless someone leaves?  Any signing now would likely not be a loan so do we think we still need/will actually bring anyone else in?
Yes
114  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: January 14, 2024, 18:22:22 pm
I don’t know if it’s been mentioned but there was a guilty plea accepted in the conservative donation saga a couple of days back….
Probably deemed unimportant with all the latest club v trust shenanigans
115  The Hotel End / Cobblers Corner / Re: Redevelopment Closer Than Ever? on: January 13, 2024, 15:03:32 pm
If, not when
IF things go wrong it will at least be reassuring that Tom and the supporters board will be there to coordinate things as regards the future direction of the club.

I think the missing £10m might be a bigger scandal?

Now I may be wide of the mark here and I readily admit to reading between the lines but my instinct says it is safe to say that past and present board members of the trust will not be welcome on the new supporters panel  Grin

In all honesty if the contents of the letter are correct then there’s no way the trust can continue as basically those who have acted against the club must be in contempt of the actual supporters trust ethos.

To be honest this is the biggest scandal that has hit the club in my forty years as a supporter.

The findings have been intimated on this forum but now the letter has been published in full it is quite astounding.

If correct the trust have cost the club and cilldara financially which doesn’t sound good to me.

Dundee United heavily linked with Mellon.

You'd think it would be important to release wouldn't you, but apparently not.
