I’d take a punt on him, short term pay as you play contract, take it or leave it. Shame we don’t have a penny to scratch our arśe with!
He would have to paid national living wage at least.

IMO neither Bowie or Simpson warrant a place in the side ATM. Simpson is struggling with confidence and Bowie is horribly out of form. No need to get our knickers in a twist, both are exceptionally talented players and it happens, they’ll bounce back. At the moment though we need to come up with a strategy that doesn’t involve them.
Not sure that replacing them with a right back (Lintott in your team) would do their confidence any good. If Brady did that we would all be moaning about square pegs in round holes.

So with no game this week and knowing how much you guys like to show off your predicting talents, I've a little competition for you, just 10 questions. Nothing at stake, just pride. Each correct answer is worth 5pts. At the end of the season: Yes or No 1) Will Sammy Hoskins finish Cobblers top scorer? Yes 2) Will Kelvin Thomas still be Cobblers Chairman? Yes 3) Will the builders have returned to work on the East Stand? No 4) Will Jon Brady still be Cobblers manager? Yes 5) Will the Cobblers finish above Stevenage? No Guesses. 6) Which player will make the most appearances in all competitions? Sam Sherring 7) How many league home wins will the Cobblers achieve? a) 1-5, b) 6-10, c) 11-15, d) over 15 b Against which opponent will the Cobblers get their highest league attendance this season? Peterborough 9) What position will the Cobblers finish? a) Automatic Promotion b) Play-Offs, c) 8th-12th d) 13th-16th, e) 17th-20th, f) Relegated e 10) How many goals will the Cobblers score in the league? a) Below 30, b) 31-44, c) 45-59, d) 60-75, e) above 75. c Tie breaker: What will be the lowest Cobblers attendance this season in all-competitions? 1608 I'll make a note of the answers and tell you who the winner is at the end of the season. You have until we kick-off against Port Vale. Don't give me a hard time, it's only a bit of fun, feel free to ignore if you wish. I'll post my guesses tomorrow.

Terry get they before me, but I will say it anyway. Luton have been planning to move since about 1988!
Reminds me of a prominent Trust person sharing Southend stadium plans not so long ago, to have a dig at Thomas/Bower. They obviously had not been following the Southern saga

I think this is a byproduct of how we're set-up, 5-3-2 with two deep lying midfielders is always going to make it difficult for the front three.
Obviously chuffed with the result, but despite controlling the game there was only really the Hoskins chance which in the end was just a great bit of opportunism from him.
Now we've got a few points under a belt I'd like to see us show a bit more ambition. Not convinced by either wing-back, would like to see Koiki and McGowan given a go once fit.
We played 4 at the back for.mos of the game, as we did against Peterborough and Lincoln and Wigan.

Looks like we've only sold around 500 tickets Would have expected a much better following after last week and considering it's not very far away Bank holiday weekend.£26. Played Cheltenham many times. Cobblers fans are festival goes.Late summers holidays. Small fanbase. Not going again until the East Stand is built. All the excuses I can think of.

Well from £16 each a ticket, the new batch with a rise to £2000 each...a lesson to be learnt on hesitation! To be fair, at £2000 a ticket, guessing they are unrestricted view! For some of the big shots on here £2k will not be a problem.

I believe now that you don't get any additional money for being live on tv as it's all built in to the money doled out at the start of the season. Could be wrong, but that's how i think it works nowl cost
On the Kieran Maguire podcast a few days ago it was said in League 1 home side receive £30K compensation and the away side £10k when a game is moved for Sky coverage.

I can’t stop smiling - what a game and what a day . We were superb and looked the better side in the end . Pinnock said after the game he had been told the keeper wanders off his line and had texted his mates that he was going to shoot from distance . it was no fluke . They have a centre half that is supposed to be going for £12 mill and Bowie was all over him. So proud to be a cobbler tonight . Barry Fry took everything in good spirits to be fair to him , unlike Anthony who left early . One negative - we may have no keeper for the Derby game - likely to be called up by England and Burge out for 6 weeks .
We could sign an emergency keeper in those circumstances. Not ideal bringing a keeper in for one game but needs must.

Not long left in the transfer window so there may not be enough time to get a replacement, or anyone adequate enough to replace Mitch available.
I think people have over-ambitous ideas of the calibre of player we can attract.

A few people i've spoken to reckon that Brady and Burge had a bit of a bust up when Lee found out he wasn't travelling with the squad for wigan.
Also Apparently told a fan 'i shall not be here long'.
If so, GET HIM GONE!!🚪
So we dropped Burge from the squad and put 18 year old Dadge on the bench . The same Burge who was number 1 all last season and replaced King when he was back fit. When the team was read on the radio it was said Burge is injured. When a post includes reckon, if and apparently it's usually tosh. To give it credibility you need to write FACT at the end .

When you drill down into the figures a bit more it becomes interesting......
We made a small profit in 2020/21, £127,980 was declared. However that was off the back of a profit for the year on player trading alone of £976,108. The vast majority of that came from the Goode sale. Before that profit figure was declared, the owners took out £690,000 to pay back some of their previous "loans", so really without that the club would have declared a profit of almost £818,000...... but without the player sales it would actually show an operating loss of almost £160,000.
Forward to 2021/22, and £865,000 was reintroduced by the owners and despite making further profits from player trading for this season of £779,780 these were wiped out by the reintroduction (loan) and that resulted in a loss of £150,708.
Take the two financial years together and you see that the small profit one year is erased by the small loss the next, so actually we have indeed almost broken even for the two years but only after making £1.7m in profits from player sales and a further injection (overall) of £175,000 by the owners.
Directors loans are not included in profit and loss ( apart from paying interest on the loan). Repaying a directors loan does not reduce profit and an injection does not increase losses. It only has an effect on the balance sheet. Just as taking out or repaying a bank loan would have no effect on the p&l apart from the interest incurred I Without the profit from player trading both those years would show substantial losses. Sorry to take the thread off topic but I feel this needs correcting.

It's the club who are at fault not the car park stewards. The club have sold car park season tickets without any thought as to what happens if the car park is full (which is more likely with bigger crowds and the new parking restrictions). The car park stewards should not be getting flak.
My guess is they were told to direct cars to the Duston Mill car park if the North car park was full, but no thought was given to s/t car park passes

I enjoyed the lack of time wasting yesterday. Players got up after they were fouled rather than the physio coming on and the drink breaks that usually follows. The players did not delay free kicks by running across the path of the free kick. After the deserved bookings for AK and one of their players, the players did not kick the ball away. All good.
But we then had ridiculous amounts of added time It was a a double edged sword. Less time wasting but we ended up with more extra time. Felt like it went from one extreme to another.

90 minutes maximum parking from one hour prior to kick off and for the duration of the match. What it says on the sign in the bowling, pizza, gym etc car park.. Someone took a photo and posted it in one of Facebook groups a while ago
