In fairness I did go on strike twice, 1982 and then again early this century, I cant remember the year. I was on strike for 3 weeks in 38 years. Neither times was it for a pay rise. Terrible of me I know. I'll go and sit in the corner.
Just as a matter of interest; When one of the other Union's in your industry were on strike and you were not allowed to take the trains out, what did you do with yourselves? I know the Union leaders within the rail industry have informal meetings about these things. Some might even suspect they were rigging the situation to maximum advantage (of the employees not the public). I presume you were ASLEF. Right? Mick Lynch would be far too common for you.

Unbelievable. Against the odds. Well in town.
Sowerby, Sherring and Mcgowen outstanding.
Moulden had a good game, but still looked shakey!
Fox, Pinnock, Appere, Monthe all worked hard.
Leonard superb, have we ever had a more passionate loanee?
Hoskins - the match winner.

Don’t they reckon a couple need £50k a year in retirement now to have a good standard of living? My elderly parents lived very well on between £20k and £25k for many years. (roughly 1997 to 2015). They owned their own 2 bedroom bungalow and paid full whack Rates. I had an intimate knowledge of their finances as I looked after that area for them as Dad's sight, hearing and ability to cope with anything requiring proper analytical consideration declined. They also owned several Fiat Pandas over that time (no access to public transport for local needs).

FWIW I think the atmosphere at the ground and the lads seeing Derby as relatively impressive opposition (currently and recent past) will lift this game to another level. I anticipate it being tighter than some are saying here. I do worry about our GK though.

With regard to Simpson - his continuing deployment on the Sub's bench suggests to me JB isn't convinced he's one for the future. He will be on decent money at Huddersfield so if he's not good enough for our First 11 why would we go out on a limb to sign him?

For the past four seasons (including this one) Shaun is averaging over 30 games per season. I think that's decent for a central defensive midfielder whose bound to take the knocks and put his body on the line where necessary. Definitely a keeper at the right rate of pay within the budget. Appere should get better and is a very decent option off the bench if necessary. I'd ask Marc Richards his opinion on his potential going forward.

Thought we didn't set the team up to win that. Brough and Lintott on either side lacked creativity and starved Bowie and Appere of any decent ball. Not a great watch.

Thanks Tel, one thing is for sure, keep playing Brough and we will keep conceding numerous goals and points, he looks a broken man with zero confidence, he needs taking out of the squad, opposition teams know how weak he is and focus on our right side. Brady needs to wake up.
When I've spotted Pinnock around the Left Back area he's looked even worse! What's your proposed solution?

Says it all about the state of uk politics when you look at the results from the Rochdale by election
I think it might say a lot about postal votes and their abuse. Labour need to vet their candidates properly.

Amused me;
Galloway was always more popular among the rank and file of the Labour Party than among his parliamentary colleagues. An unverifiable story records that he once asked Donald Dewar, the late Scottish Secretary and First Minister, why people took such an instant dislike to him. “Because it saves time, George,” replied Donald.

I do wonder how labour will make any tangible difference when they get in. Ultimately it has been a cycle of labour/tory sh*t (the Tories had a run from Churchill to Heath) for the past 100 years.
Did anyone correct this ? Pipe smoker, Yorkshire man, served as PM twice.

Anyone else get caught up in the travel chaos after the game. Central line trains all cancelled after a fatality on the line and had to get an Uber fro Leyton to London bridge in order to get back into the city. Last thing we wanted after a sickening extra time winner from them.Thought I saw Cool Cat at the tube station.
I'd have caught a Bus - they nearly all go into Central London or are going out from Central London. Just check the bus stop instructions or ask the driver. If you had a travel card you are laughing. Many years ago I lived in Hackney - horrible crime ridden area but the rents were cheaper. Bus Route 55 would have been ideal. Just take your time and relax. Trains run out of Euston to Northampton very late.
