Says it all about the state of uk politics when you look at the results from the Rochdale by election
I think it might say a lot about postal votes and their abuse. Labour need to vet their candidates properly.

Amused me;
Galloway was always more popular among the rank and file of the Labour Party than among his parliamentary colleagues. An unverifiable story records that he once asked Donald Dewar, the late Scottish Secretary and First Minister, why people took such an instant dislike to him. “Because it saves time, George,” replied Donald.

I do wonder how labour will make any tangible difference when they get in. Ultimately it has been a cycle of labour/tory sh*t (the Tories had a run from Churchill to Heath) for the past 100 years.
Did anyone correct this ? Pipe smoker, Yorkshire man, served as PM twice.

Anyone else get caught up in the travel chaos after the game. Central line trains all cancelled after a fatality on the line and had to get an Uber fro Leyton to London bridge in order to get back into the city. Last thing we wanted after a sickening extra time winner from them.Thought I saw Cool Cat at the tube station.
I'd have caught a Bus - they nearly all go into Central London or are going out from Central London. Just check the bus stop instructions or ask the driver. If you had a travel card you are laughing. Many years ago I lived in Hackney - horrible crime ridden area but the rents were cheaper. Bus Route 55 would have been ideal. Just take your time and relax. Trains run out of Euston to Northampton very late.

As Bolton are called "the trotters" we have a chance if Rodney and Del Boy are playing, preferably Grandad as well.
Don't forget Damian (he must be the right age by now) and Uncle Albert.

In League One, clubs do not receive any prize money for getting promoted or winning the play-off final. However, each League One club receives a base payment of £677,000 per season, regardless of their league position. Additionally, they receive a solidarity payment of £645,000 from the Premier League1.
The prize money structure for the League One play-offs is as follows:
Winners of the play-offs: £1.4 million (consisting of basic awards and solidarity payments)2. Other than that, there are no additional prize money rewards for clubs in League One. So, while the financial rewards for winning the play-offs are substantial, the regular season does not offer specific prize money beyond the fixed payments to each club.

Listened to JB's post match comments and I have to say I think he was out of order. I love the guy and have been a big supporter of his from the beginning.
I know it's his passion sometimes but I think he was unprofessional today. Personally a couple of the things he said should IMO should be kept internally. I didn't like the way he put down some of the players when he said "look at what I'm having to put on the pitch". That's his squad 100%. He was making it clear he doesn't rate some of his players.
While I understand his frustration he needs to remember the club has backed him at crucial times and if the extra budget is not there he has to take his share of the blame for that. Maybe win a cup game once in a while!
The club gave him the chance to manage in the football league. They backed him with extra coaching and medical staff. They backed him with better training pitches, matchday pitches and training facilities. They backed him in making changes to the recruitment system and data analysis. They've allowed him to bring in players when the budget has already been spent.
Maybe he should get rid of some of the deadwood in the squad?
I just checked the NTFC website and the first team squad has 27 players! That's not including Dyche or Dadge. It also ignores the youth players that are nowhere near the squad. I know loads are injured but is the solution just to keep adding more? What about bringing through some youth players once in a while? He also has to accept some of the responsibility for injured players though that's difficult to quantify exactly.
He just signed the biggest paid managerial contract the owners have given anyone during their time at the club. If he was unhappy with things he should have said that and got commitments before signing the deal.
I also agree with Marvo that he's not at the stage yet where he will walk into any other job. I don't think clubs with money will see him yet as what they need it will be more clubs like us that have to outperform their budget. That may change if he keeps being successfull but I think he's got a hell of a lot going for him at NTFC.
I love the guy. It's a bl00dy tough job, today was a bad day at the office and being interviewed 30 mins after a poor performance is not ideal. Think he should be making a couple of private apologies this week.
There's a lot of detail in here I haven't come across before. Do you have sources? Thanks in advance, always good to see the club defended so clearly and decisively even if I'm not entirely on board with some of the points..

Jon has performed a fantastic job for us. He deserves our support and the club need to back him. I listened to that interview and felt he was being reasonable and fair - the lads will know they haven't come up to scratch.

Just putting this out there
We definitely need to offload Hylton Fox Odimayo
Guessing 7-8k a week in wages and terrible injury records. Nothing against Fox and Odimayo, both good players but, hopefully Brady will learn and look into players injury records. I remember Wilder alluding to this on few interviews when he signed players.
I imagine you mean Magloire rather than Odimayo. Hylton seems a no brainer of your three.

In the time Jon Brady has been the Cobblers manager Charlton have had 6 different managers - Bowyer, Jackson, Adkins, Garner, Holden and Appleton. A few of those have even been suggested on this forum as a replacement manager for us !
