I tell you who I would absolutely love to be a Cobblers player next year if we could get him. Ashley Grimes, on loan at Lincoln from Milwall. 15 in 21 in the league for a Lincoln side no better than ours, and he pretty much ate League 2 up in Football Manager for me. Mark Marshall is a good shout as well. 5th in terms of assists in the league, and that's for Barnet!
Both players that most teams in League 2 (And maybe higher) will be looking at, mind.

ANOTHER win !! Did we not play well enough, and create chances enough, against a team in 3rd away from home, to perhaps justify the expecation that we could beat a team with nothing to play for (with their best player out injured, I am so to believe) at Sixfields? That game restored my faith that the team has enough in them to get out of this mess. And also, Stockport, who are pretty much relegated by todays results.

Rogers did well, so that was a good choice by GJ. Bauza might keep us up.
Barnet have to get four points on us now to overtake us, in four games. No manager, and play-off opposition. We should be able to stay within three points of their results, especially with Stockport looking already relegated.
Also, love Terry Angus to death. He brightens what generally have been poor games to listen to on the radio.

He put in a good cross once, in a stint in RW under Sammo. He likes to try and beat his man (unfortunately, not always succesfully. And that REALLY was a problem when he used to play RB). Plus, there are many wingers down in this level who have nothing put pace anyway. I would have thought he would be a better winger than full-back, but that's for experimenting with in training and pre-season, not while we are in a relegation battle.
Then again, what's it between at the moment for a right wing berth? Him and Nana?

Rogers isn't really a winger. I love him to bits, and I'd want to see if he's better than he is a full-back before we let loose, but today is not the game.
Davis isn't really anything at the moment.

Considering that they fold like paper when the pressure is on, perhaps going into a game with no expecations are made of us will help them in the long run? I mean, eventually we've got a get a win under sheer weight of odds.

I think Thornton is the type of character that would be up for a fight, but only if the thing he was fighting was something that had personally pissed him off. He's get character enough to give it a go - and I think that he's someone you'd find it quite difficult to knock the confidence out of. He might just not make an effort at all though, which is the potential problem. Certainly deserves ago ahead of Walker, but then again, Greg Kaziboni and Malachi Farquharson probably are more deserving of run outs now than Josh Walker.

I'm not arguing that he wasn't our weakest player on the pitch today. But 'so called' fans should be supporting the team, not making it more difficult to keep their heads up in a run in which might cost us our league status. I don't care if you have to bite your tongue, or call him a massive s***bag on the forum, just don't cheer when he miskicks the f***ing ball like it's going to do us any favours.

When people cheered his Substitution today. I have never been more embarrased to be a cobblers fan, Not one player deserved any praise in the first half, Yet Walker gets slated every match i go to. He played 3 fantastic cross field balls in the first half. He's lacking confidence like most in the team.
This times 1000.

So if you kept going out in your car and it kept letting you down, you'd rather go out in it and risk it breaking down again than replacing it with a perhaps more reliable car?
Remind me never to accept a lift from you.
If we're going to use some inappropriate metaphors, then I'd say that I'd rather stay in it at the side of the road and wait for the break down service, than get out of it and walk down the middle of the motorway.

Everytime we get a bad result?
We haven't won in the last 14 matches FFS!
Yeah, so changing it around all the time clearly isn't working. I personally quite like Dunn. He's not by any stretch of the imagination the best keeper in the division, but he's not the worst. He makes one fantastic save a game almost guaranteed, and if our defence wasn't so pourous then he'd probably have won us a few points by now and be treated as a hero. Plus, the stick he gets from the fans is a disgrace. I'm pretty Gilligan went off us because of the stupid fans who used to boo him before he went on the pitch - after all, why would he want to play for people who hate the sign of him? Dunn has got some disgusting stick of our so called 'fans' at time (including Burton Away last year, where some fat bald headed twat called him a c*** for about 30 minutes before storming off) yet never complaints about it. I quite like him personally because of that. Keep with him til the end of the season. You can think about getting someone better in during the close season, but I don't think it's worth swapping your goalies at crunch time.
