I think the cup in either format was a mistake.
If they wanted to revitalise interest then introducing Championship clubs would have been a better way to go, and would have made it a proper EFL trophy.
The problem with having a cup for just L1 and L2 clubs is that most of us play each other all the time, so it's never anything special. That's a key difference to the FA Trophy / FA Vase where leagues are increasingly regionalised.

Upset that I can't make it; 12:45 kick-off on a Sunday is no good at all for public transport else I would definitely be there.
Hopefully it begins to pave the way towards a peachy 3rd round draw though.

Good result. Hoping we get another under 21 team in the first knockout round, it really is a mismatch whenever the professional team actually turns up and wants to win.
Not that I'll have any interest in actually attending either way

It's the irrelevance that is my overwhelming point
I realise im in the minority because clubs up and down the contry did the same . Anyhow , do as you wish , I spent my time thinking and honouring the many who fought and died for our values and the freedoms of expression , my families war efforts and the club's very honourable roots . IMO that is sacred for the remembrance game
Wow Do you read the Daily Mail by any chance? Have never seen such anger over something that literally has no effect on you whatsoever. If you want to spend your minute's silence reflecting solely upon those lost in the war then do so, and let others use the time to reflect as they see fit.

From a selfish point of view quite happy with that. I've not been there before, only £10 for a train ticket from Leicester and no doubt they will cut the match ticket price to £10-12 in an attempt to attract supporters.
If it's a crap away day I will skip the league encounter later in the season (which I had planned on attending)... if it's good then even better, double the fun!

Cornell
Odoffin Barnett Taylor Turnbull
Crooks McWilliams John-Joe Foley
Waters
Van Veen
Think I'd go for this but favour Pierre over Taylor (unlikely Austin will agree though)
