Does anyone know who the French defender was that Sammo was looking at in a few practice games? We hopefully have some money in the pot now if Hinton and Guinan leave (I suspect they must be on a combined wage of around £3,500 per week) I wonder who we could afford to get in with that sort of extra money in the budget.

Akinbiyi is now the only one I can think of, and probably unrealistic.
I think he's retired. Hardly played at Notts County as he was injured constantly and released in the summer!

Just to mention Akinbiyi's name is truly desperate, way too old.. way way past it.

I wouldnt be surprised if his agent has lined him up a trial elsewhere and with a club that has an actual interest in signing him.

I think I probably agree - but who else is there? I can't think of a single other potentially available target man.

You are sounding as if it is your responsibility to find these players and getting desperately dissapointed that you can't? Don't let it spoil your Christmas, we will forgive you if you have no joy. But don't give up, there will eventually be one that is ideal and available that you can provide your best recommendation to Sammo to go after and DC to open his purse.

Not at all - just pointing out that the list of available candidates is much shorter than it was in the summer - and it's a genuine open question whether anyone else can think of someone. Thanks, the sarcasm suits you well - but I hate Xmas anyway, but that's my problem.

That is of course assuming that Luton and Forest Green respectively are paying all of their wages...which I doubt very much will be the case. Particular where Guinan is concerned. I suspect a 'deal' has been brokered to get them both to move on.

Defender could be maxime chanot who was at sheff u, and also jason crowe to come back, he walked past us outside hillsborough on sat and with hinton and guinan going it frees up some wages!

I'd be stunned if Jason Crowe came back...unless on loan maybe.

Somewhat unlikely but Rene Howe has openly said in January he wants away from London Road & I would imagine it's a sure fire thing he has nailed his colours to the mast & Nene Park but from what I've heard on the local radio he seems to have re-gained his confidence & isn't doing to badly so maybe we could spoil there party.
Staying with the Bedford link Callum Davenport is still looking to re-start his career despite his injuries, personally would love to see Jason Crowe back on loan & Mark Bunn.

Do you know what "Nemesis" means?
A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent personified in this case by a sex starved voyeur that is Tyro.

I'm glad someone came up with a serious suggestion. Ive never heard of Maxime Chanot before but it could be a good shout, although Chanot is now back in his homeland, he may still have links back at Sheff Utd.
