I'll believe it when I see him holding up our shirt at the press conference....

Until it's on the official site I'll always have no confidence that something will go wrong, the rumours are fun though - it can't harm to be linked with good players as it shows we're trying to be ambitious. It's somewhat defeated when they choose Burton Albion instead of us, but the less said about that the better...

As much as i want Harrad to sign, it ain't gonna happen. If we do agree a fee with Burton and he signs then fantastic but we don't need to be left hanging til 23.59 on 31/01/2011 with no alternative options.....
Let's get realistic, look elsewhere and make sure we get whoever signed up before any announcements are made.

I believe the clubs handling of this situation has been exemplary - if Zola wants to sign for Burton on geographical reasons then good luck to him! The rumours flying around make for great reading and some of the messages have been very witty or ironic or both. At least they are trying! As for the moaners whingers and babies it is difficult to believe them half the time - their moods are up and down like a tarts nickers.

That's an interesting story, sounds like we have another prefered option to Zola and I'm not talking about Harrad. Keep the name quiet boys until it is all signed, sealed and delivered.

From the Cron... "the Chron understands that, in terms of target men, Zola was not the club’s first-choice recruit, and that the player top of the list remains available to the club and open to negotiations" Surely the club would have started at the top of the list when trying to sign a striker? If you make a list you don’t in the middle do you??

Bayo?
It was said he nearly rejoined a few weeks back. If that's true he would have been 1st choice?

I've a horrible feeling we'll end up with someone like Martin Gritton, but I hope it will be a player with decent ability like Pawel Abbott For me, the Harrad deal has as much life left in it as the atmosphere at Sixfields. As fans, we seriously need to move on from that one. If we do manage to pull it off against the odds then great.

If you make a list you don’t in the middle do you?? -unless theyve already spoke to their top target and it's taking longer to sort a deal out -or they spoke to him and he wanted too much money -or they spoke to him and he wanted longer deal -or they agreed everything with him but not his club -or they agreed everything with his club and him and then the selling club stalled -or they agreed everything with his club and him and then the selling club moved the goalposts -or zola was cheaper and it meant they could put more money into harrad deal (or a n other deal) etc etc ETC

Of course the club now spouts that Zola was not the number one targetman we were after anyway. Logic states you go after your number one target first, surley. If Zola had signed and our alledged number one target also agreed to sign, we would then have had to reject signing our number one signing, as we'd have already signed Zola..... bizarre! Whoever we end up with (if anyone at all of course) then they will be dressed up as to being our number one target all along Oh and apparantly Slowe has left the Club.....to pick up some pizzas' for the squad, which his father so kindly paid for
