Rodgers played ok, nowhere near as good as Johnson though.

Johnson's been a bit disappointing this season IMO.

He also put in two decent crosses yesterday, which was good to see considering some people think he can't kick a football. McKay should have scored from one of them.

Thought he looked as likely to create a goal scoring opportunity yesterday as anyone....

He didn't though, did he?  In fact he ruined one of our better attacks when he got completely in Osman's way.

Definately worth a new deal as a squad member.

We are really scraping the barrel then.  If a player who runs aimlessly towards the byline with no end product is fans' idea of a footballer, we are doomed.  However, with few other right wing attacking options at the moment, he would probably get my nod ahead of Laurent and Gilligan.  Which has me thinking, is Thornton still injured or fallen completely out of favour?

He's not very good.

He was still one of our best players yesterday. That tells you everything you need to know about the performance.

Michael Jacobs as the sponsor's man of the match. Hilarious.

If they had given it to Rodgers it would only encourage him...  Grin

Ok, so Billy hitting the bar was not a goal scoring opportunity? Because it was Rodgers that sent in that driven cross.

Rodgers had a good game yesterday, couldnt really fault him personally. I think he'd be well worth a new deal at the end of the season.

When he wins the Man of the Match award for yesterday on here, which he's well on the way to doing, he'll be fourth in the table for player of the year, this from a full back who it seems has hardly started a game this season. I'm not sure what that tells you?

Johnson's been a bit disappointing this season IMO.

He's certainly been a bit shaky in his last couple of games

othersoo many go to games with a pre-conceived opinion of players and as a result their final opinion is flawed. Rodgers has made mistakes but usually rectifies the situation and has often rectified the mistakes of others. I would supect that although he has less time on the pitch than s his percentage of goals to mistakes  is much lower.

I wish fans would get off his back, and cheer / get behind him, appreciate the good things he does...on Saturday that was more than most.
He is certainly the most improved player and even if he loses concentration or is caught upfield, he regularly has the speed to get back and cover.
Although clearly not the finished article, he wouldn't be here if that was so and he was without a fault.

If all our players put the effort in like him and had his pace then......

anyway league tables/ player of the year tables don't lie ....do they Huh?

Yes, I agree that we should get off his back - but he must also have got a lot of MOM votes on here from people who generally don't rate him - so you can win people over.
