Please don't play him on the side of the diamond, please don't play him on the side of the diamond.... Pleased with that as a start to the summer recruitment, let's hope we get a few more of that quality

I thought he was a striker, but seems he is listed as a winger/striker. Does that mean...
a) JE will be going 4-4-2 b) he be played as part of the diamond, or up front c) he'll warm the bench ready for plan B

Played as a winger at MK in the games I have seen over the last few years (work has season tickets we use to take customers).

At a guess I reckon JED will say he gives him options - can play wide, at the tip of the diamond or up front in a 2. I would think most Cobblers fans will want to see him playing wide. Pace and directness out wide are a potent combo

I'd quit my job if they made me do that.

Baily Cargill is my educated guess.
I think Eddie Howe has said he won't be going out on loan again as he'll be in and around the 1st team next season. Shame as he's an excellent defender.

Completely agree, seems similar to Lobjoit, could see both of them either side of Richards or Revell, offering chances on the break utilising their pace and Taylor's passing.

It's not every week thankfully (otherwise I wouldn't be able to watch Cobblers), and they give me the ones where Cobblers are not playing or miles away from home.

The two boys released from Sheff U would be useful would be useful Mcnulty and Scougall.
Maybe Wilder can put in a good word - I guess Mcnulty maybe on his way to Pompey tho

Reckon Joe Day from Newport will be the new number 1. JED signed him for Diamonds and then Newport and is out of contract this Summer. Good age at 26 too...
From Wiki...
On 29 December 2014 Newport County announced that they had agreed a full transfer with Peterborough United for Day for an undisclosed record transfer for the Welsh club with Day being contracted until the end of the 2016–17 season.

Joe Day is no better than Cornell. I would be very disappointed to see this happen.

A quick look on the Newport forum, they want him to stay but expect him to be off to a bigger club.
