Agreed. If you got points for trying and hitting the woodwork he was nearly there.
But when he left us he went to Barnsley in the Championship so he didn't do too badly then or since. As you say it is mostly luck.

I see Ricky miller has scored another couple of goals for Dover today - he's going to in demand as an out of contract striker, it'll be interesting to see if JED has retained an interest

Let's face it we don't know if JED's interested but he did try to sign him for gillingham - unfortunately the fact that he finished with 40 goals and was the conference player of the year may well have put him out of our range and if Peterborough are interested there's not a lot of chance that we can compete.

I think we've been here before - he's very injury prone but granted a decent goal scorer when fit. |

46 appearances last season and 48 this season would suggest he isn't injury prone!! (29 goals over the two seasons)

Mark Bunn would be a very nice replacement for Smith, or possibly David Martin from MK Dons - he is also being released I believe.

What do people think about signing Adam Le Fondre? I remember him tearing up League 2 and been around the Prem and Championship as well as playing for Bolton more recently

As I've said before I'd love bunn to "come home" but I would imagine that Martin would be more likely - lower wages, local etc. Not a chance with le fondre - surely Bolton will offer him a permanent deal in the summer.
