I've no inside knowledge, but if Sunday is Zander's last game for the club then I think he's worthy of a special 'thank you' for his services to our club.
When he signed for us (initially on loan) he left a Burton side gunning for promotion and we were adrift at the bottom of L2. Not many players would have wanted to come here and graft out a relegation battle. His graft was a key part of our survival.
He's made over 100 appearances for NTFC and has been a key figure in getting us to where we are today.
Thank you Zander, if it is goodbye on Sunday.

Bit premature - would have thought he would stay as perhaps only L2 for him?

If he's only L2 standard we are struggling, season long he has been our far best Centre Half

I would be surprised if he signed for another L1 club; more likely an L2 Club; but that is just my opinion.. He did have a shaky spell this season so for me he and Nyatanga and possibly Zakuani have are all about equal. I do think his performances improved markedly over the last third of the season.

Zander has been fantastic for us and I can see no reason why he shouldn't get another deal.

Hope not!
It would seem from reading the article that tomorrow will be his last game. Given our leaky defence I feel we need fresh blood anyway despite many others opinions.

Sad news if true - a really good servant over the last couple of years. As with all departures it will only prove to be the right decision if we bring a decent replacement in.

All of the defence are replaceable imo. I like Zander but he's easily replaced.

The fact that it is just accepted he'll get a club in the SPFL, speaks volumes about the state of Scottish football.
