On Saturday Mills made a brave interception with a tackle which forestalled a dangerous Crawley breakaway. That interception led to a serious injury for Mills. Now you claim sarcasm as an excuse to now confound us all with quote "To confirm, Mills has never and will never find decent form. ...sic but if he could stretch it out for a long as possible that would be great" - end quote. To me that seems a pretty mealy mouthed way to treat an NTFC player who was injured in action for the team. Pretty nasty comments you make in support of your anti -NTFC player agenda.
For once I agree with you.

Sid Nelson will be out for some considerable time with a knee ligament injury sustained in training.
Does that mean a free agent will be signed? Both Mills and Nelson out for a long period. Good job we've got the Villa lad.

Any news on the Villa lad. He hasn’t made the match day squad since we signed him?

Deemed not fit enough for “men’s football “ good job we used the data driven approach and then backed that up with the committee. What a load of old shît.

I'm sorry but that's wrong. He is currently not up to the required fitness levels, it has nothing to do with not being fit enough for "mens football" as you have just made up

If not why didn't we sign someone who can play straight away? I would also like to know why Sowerby isn't playing, I thought he would be an automatic pick now he's fit?

Did he not have any pre season training then? Says a lot for Villa, if hes not fit enough to play for a league two side.

I agree about the Villa lad, clearly a bit of a panic buy. It has been made even worse now with Nelson's injury.

Where would we have played him yesterday and in who's place? I agree largely on Sowerby but Brady doesn't seem to fancy him.

I'm not suggesting we should have played him necessarily but surely he should be on the bench as injury cover especially with Nelson out. It all just seems odd, but I accept they couldn't have predicted Nelson's injury.

Harriman was on the bench as injury cover as he has played all across the back 4.

Injuries...
Creeping up aren't they?
In defence too which is probably where we had least cover

Not any L2 side, it’s Northampton!

Nelson out for the season...which means he'll probably never play for us again...
How often does that happen to us, a new signing playing a couple of games then having a serious injury? I can only think of Purcell atm, Nicholls came back but was never the same and we at least saw his potential.

Bert Llewellyn is the one I remember. Injured in his first game at The White City, he never played another league game for us. Because he was sidelined, Dave Bowen went out and brought in Frank Large, so some good came out of it.
