Maybe he doesn't want to be too far from home so home games are fine but away games aren't?

Shame. Maybe a start for Max Dyche, then. It would be good for him to get 90 minutes in a league game. Hope Koiki's OK, as he limped off too, and was still limping after the game. We're still looking a bit stretched with the combination of injuries and now suspensions.

My guess is that they are personal and therefore we and everyone else apart from family, friends and employers should have no idea and certainly not discuss them on the world wide web.

Agreed. Peoples obsessions with knowing everything about injuries is one thing but as soon as its 'personal reasons' that should be a trigger to not ask and just wish him well in whatever the issues are.

Whilst not wanting to speak for the lad....I'm sure if he does know, they will remain personal?

Not in a place to say. I’ll only quash the more outlandish ones such as Hoskins drink driving rumour.

I don't know why that would prevent him playing anyway.

Part and parcel of the game. All clubs have injuries at this stage in the season, nothing new there.

That’s the risk you take putting all your eggs in the basket of 3 strikers.

We mostly play 4231 so we have 3 strikers for 1 position plus Eppiah when fit. Just bad luck only 1 was available at Chesterfield due to suspensions and injuries. If anything we are undercovered in other positions, Hoskins and Pinnock take the wide positions behind the striker and we have limited other options. Leonard or Fox take the other position to play behind the striker so with 2 holding midfield players we have 4 players for 3 positions other than youths.

Its hardly an option to have 3 or more strikers, the expense of doing so is unjustifiable at our level. Do you mean we should have also invested in goal scoring midfielders? Or clarify what you mean or better still as a Manager what would you have done?
