As always votes in after the match and by Thursday @2359

A disappointing performance against Newport that should have seen votes for Balding which actually resulted in just two players getting any votes.
Despite some bantering attempts to sway votes BURGE didn't quite get a clean sweep but easily took the gold however HOSKINS saviour of a goal secured the silver.

Burge's 3 points has seen him break into the top 3 and sits in third place.
Hoskins extends his lead at the top whilst Leonard is second.

NEWPORT SUMMARY

Burge received 15 votes and scores 3 points
Hoskins received 3 votes and scores 2 points

Only paid £6 for Chesterfield ticket …. But feel short changed.

On the  Coach travelling back….. thankful for a very good stop at Clay Cross or the day would be wasted.

Only one MoM ….. Cllare B by a country mile.

Current form is a real worry.

Guthrie marshalled defence well. Not at best though but at 0-1 still in with a chance. Bit unlikely!

Not a day when many were vying for that accolade.

I am going for Guthrie as well simply because he didn't appear to do anything wrong. Best of a bad bunch imo.

It was a very good finish, I don't believe that he could be at all blamed for that.  Roll Eyes
However, he cut out a lot of low cross balls, came well for crosses and was probably (imo) the only player who played to the standard required and expected of our team.
It's not just about shot stopping for a keeper you know.

It was a good finish, bad error to pass in front of his goal. School boy error by Sherring. Overall he dealt well with what came his way. Would Roberts got a hand to it? Ironic they had one shot at goal and scored whilst we had 3/4 shots on target. Bowie should have scored from one of his chances. Bit unlucky with those shots which hit the bar/post.
