My pre season thoughts on the season ahead, I am not a regular poster on this site because of the negativity which abounds here.KC is the best fit as a manager that the Cobblers have had since Wilder- fact.
He works on a restricted budget and has good track record in getting the best out of an otherwise average player e.g. Vadaine Oliver, Charlie Goode, Ryan Watson. There will inevitably be some signings that will not turn out well but that is part and parcel of managing a club at Div 1/2 level.
Compare KCs track record on expenditure and quality of players with those signed by Page, and Hasselbaink-fact not self opinion.
KCsigns players with a view as to how they will fit into the overall team dynamics and team ethic not just signing players based on their CV and status eg Ash Taylor and Von Veen.
I would point the Doommongers on this site in the direction of Wycombe to show what can be achieved at this level by the effective use of limited resource and applying the virtues of team players.
I will keep my powder dry on this site until the end of the season and let the general negativity about KC on this site blow over my head.

Keith has never had a budget to work with previously and I am impressed that he has not acted like a kid in a sweet shop with ours which I am sure would be higher than anything he has had at carlise. Every single signing he has made has improved both the squad and wage structure.
If we could just be a little bit more expansive I see Keith as a long term manager that I would like to see at the club for the next 10 years.
I think the addition of Mills at WB and replacing Oliver with Nuttall we could be far less one dimensional this season.

Yes the doom mongers can't wait for our first defeat / poor performance of the season so they can come on here with their "told you so" know it all attitude.
You can throw as much money at the team as you like but if there isn't harmony in the dressing room it usually doesn't work. Team spirit counts for an awful lot in this game.

Not a real supporter but unelected chair of the Northampton Town Honorary Supporters Club. (Please note: any opinions given may not necessarily be shared by proper supporters. In incidents of conflict the views of real supporters shall take precedence).

Sadly some "fans" love to moan and loathe to praise.
Spend ages writing nonsense when things aren't great yet when we win or things are good just write one line "good win".

Well done Andy scouse. Unfortunately we are blighted with some very negative contributors regarding anything to do with the club.

It’s good to see with 3 days until the season starts that the main thread on this football forum is one of doom. Bodes well You’d think everyone would be excited about what is to come but no....

Surely, if 'they' excitedly look forward to our first defeat, they are not doom mongers - positively looking ahead to something! Surely, doom mongers are those that predict negativity or make excuses for negative results... ...which erm!

This suggests that your ego got excited when you read the title and realised it was about you. Rather than taking in the actual content, which was actually very positive. But then I suppose you just skip over anything that doesn't suit your narrative.

I'm shocked you are particularly surprised. Once a c*** always a c***.

Under Mr.Curle, the Cobblers will succeed. Anything above relegation is a success. From there, the FOOTBALL club can develop. What happens up the back of the East Stand.... save it for your porn fantasies.
