I believe it's their own proprietary stuff but I'm not 100%. I haven't tried casting to a Samsung TV from an IOS device but when I tried to get my Dad's Chromebook to cast to their Samsung TV it didn't want to know (for anything, not just a particular app), which is what leads me to think it's proprietary. I didn't spend much time trying to make it work though, to be fair.

Yeah, it sounds like they have made the decision to block casting and have implemented on the 2 main mobile operating systems (IOS, Android) but may have overlooked the proprietary stuff like Samsung to Samsung. Good news for you at least though  Wink

Not a problem yet - but does anyone know how to go about watching Saturday's match if you are a season ticket holder.
I don't seem to have had anything from the club about this - and can't find anything.

Not heard anything yet, but they are apparently emailing season ticket holders a voucher. Hopefully it will be done in plenty of time as it seems there's a bit of a doubt as to whether each individual season ticket holder or just the lead booker will get one if the season tickets were purchased together, so I'm keeping an eye out to make sure that our group doesn't just get one voucher to share between us!

On the 'checkout' page for ifollow there is an 'enter voucher code' option. I imagine that the code that is emailed out will need to go in there. Codes have not been sent out yet though.

Until then, the best preparation is to make sure you are signed up to ifollow, using the same email address that the club has on record for your season ticket. Get the follow account created and make sure you can sign in. Then you should be good to go once the codes arrive.

The only proven way to watch I follow on a tv is via a HDMI cable from your PC.
Don’t bother with iPad lightning to HDMI as it doesn’t work, nor does casting.

Christine in the ticket office has confirmed the email registered on follow does not have to be same as registered in ticket office.

I enquired because my son's season ticket is on my email and as he will be at uni for most of the season I wanted to know if he could sign on ifollow using the code under his email.

The answer was yes as I will be sent two codes as its one code per season ticket

Cheers, that's good to know because when I enquired the other week they weren't sure yet.

I have tried to set up ifollow on my PC with the match pass code and all I get is that wretched bouncing ball that someone else said they got yesterday. What are you supposed to do? hit the thing with the curser as it bounces up and down. At the moment I am not impressed.

Have you had a response from the club, when you complained?

Yeah, me too - as it wasn't charging me I didn't think it would go online to verify the card details and as I didn't have my card to hand I just typed 4444333322221111 which will pass the check digit validation but isn't actually a proper card (you learn these things during testing while working on card payment systems Tongue). Sure enough, it accepted the voucher code and the dummy card number and told me the purchase of £0.00 was successful. A little while later though I got an email saying the payment of £0.00 had failed because the card had been rejected, so obviously it does still go online to check!

I then went back on and saw there is an "existing payment" option where it has kept my card details on record from a previous purchase. I went in there, selected my card on the radio button and clicked the "use this card" button, thinking it would just select that card and take me to the confirmation screen but instead it just popped up saying "your purchase has been successful"! I don't know if you don't get the option to enter a voucher code on that screen or if I just hadn't scrolled down far enough to see it, but either way it caught me out.

I emailed iFollow, explained what I'd stupidly done and asked if it could either be refunded or have the discount code retrospectively applied, but that was nearly 48 hours ago and I've had no reply back from them, beyond an automated message that came out about 24 hours after I'd emailed them to say my email had been received but they were very busy and it would take time to look at it. That will probably mean they won't look at it until after the game and then won't be able to refund it because the match has already taken place.

It's mostly my own fault for being too impatient to wait until I had my card with me to see if it worked, but it's annoying as I've basically thrown a tenner down the drain. I won't even watch it on my account anyway as I'm going around to my dad's to watch it with him; I only wanted to confirm how it worked so I could talk him through it when I saw him!

You have to sign in with the email addy you used initially to join. Once in the iFollow section just check the sign in button top right. Proceed to normal iFollow video match procedure remembering to enter your code in the box. This will take you to follow normal payment procedure*. If you have read the procedure comments you were told not to worry as no money will be take. As a precaution I 'paid' via Paypal but no worries as confirmation detailed zero cost.  You need to book well before Saturday as this urged by the Club to avoid congestion delays.

ps this means you have to add your debit/card details( the one which is in yr name  and address).

Anybody trying to watch iFollow on their TV... This is 2 ways i have got it to work without needing cables.

First Way
If you have a reasonably new tv (which has wifi access and is connected to your home wifi), use Google Chrome as your browser and cast the tab to your tv:

https://support.google.com/chromecast/answer/3228332?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=en&oco=0

Second Way
If your TV doesn't show up when you try to cast (make sure your tv is on and on the wifi) then it doesn't have the required software. The easiest thingt o do is buy a Google Chromecast (£30) and then you can do the same casting a tab directly to your tv and when you put the match full frame on the tab it will go full frame on your tv!

Hopefully this helps some people.

Totally sympathise with your situation but was surprised that you entered a bogus credit card details!
