Are we terrible? Yes.
Are there four teams in League One worse than us? Possibly.
I think we're better than Wigan. We've also deservedly beaten Swindon and Shrewsbury this season, both are at a similar level to us in my opinion.
Swindon were hammered 0-3 at home to Accrington tonight whilst fellow relegation candidates Oxford also lost at home. Both good results from our perspective and the table now looks slightly better for us with teams below having fewer games in hand.
Bristol Rovers have also already sacked their manager this season and could be in for a tough campaign - shame we lost to them!
Saturday's game against Burton is HUGE. I'd argue it's a six pointer even at this early stage in the season.

Are there four teams in a worse financial state than us? That may prove to be the most important question.

Just keeping an eye on those around us in the table.....
Shrewsbury use one of their two games in hand on us tomorrow night as they travel to Doncaster. The Shrews have won their last two games under the new management of Steve Cotterill, but Doncaster are quite formidable at home and have won four in a row themselves.
As for Boxing day, Shrewsbury are on the road again, this time to Wigan Athletic. Bottom of the table Burton travel to Lincoln and Swindon travel to Portsmouth so tough fixtures for those two. We are of course scheduled to have a tough game ourselves at Ipswich, this one may fall foul to Covid though. Sunderland have already postponed their games on 22nd and 26th December, and Peterborough lost games on 19th, 26th and 29th for the same reason. Rochdale face a trip to Blackpool on Boxing Day, whilst 18th plays 17th when Bristol Rovers host MK Dons, and 16th play 15th as Oxford entertain AFC Wimbledon. Plymouth (14th on 22 points) having arrested a run of 6 straight defeats travel to Charlton. Gillingham in 13th are on 26 points, 8 ahead of us.

Another win for Cotterill against good opponents, change of manager has seen them shoot up the table.

We won't get out of the bottom 4 again this season...
Anyone who has had the misfortune to see us play this season can surely see that...
Unfortunately, looks like KT will be sticking with KC no matter what...with the hope he gets us back up again next season...he won't!
Two year contract ffs!

Shrewsbury were never too far away from results anyway and were in a bit of a false position having only lost 6 games, the same as Hull who are third. Now they are turning those draws into wins.....

I doubt that Cotterill would have turned our fortunes round as he has at Shrewsbury. He has taken over a club that has been established in division 1 for a few seasons with division 1 players. I think our squad of 18 for the Lincoln game had 7 players who who have played at this level before. Besides if we had appointed him posters on here would be questioning why because he had previously been sacked at clubs x,y and z.

You can now add Mk to that too
But you could say Bristol Rovers are in trouble.
