Emperors New Clothes: They weren't that good, just a bunch of non-league nobody's who were brought together by a great manager to win a crap Fourth Division title.  The team without Morley, Hill and Benjamin the following season were probably better, finishing 6th in the Third Division?

Been on the sauce?

We murdered the 4th division, playing with their hands in their pockets half the time. If that team were kept fully together, Morley, Hill Benji, McPherson, McGoldrick, Donald and diddy Dave Gilbert, they would've done the same in division 3.

We didn't start the Div3 season too badly either if I remember, through blurred eyes at Chester!

Sincerest apologies for giving my opinion on that side, given my reply was in relation to two of the key members of that team.

I presume you have been a Cobbler long enough to have experienced the recent Wilder led title winning side?

Father and Son discord?

I love reminiscing about that season and if that team had been kept together we would have at least made the play-offs in Division 3, probably automatic. But typical of us we never build on our successes. Hill was the first to go and then one by one the side broke up, albeit some good replacements came in - Tony Adcock, Paul Culpin to name two of my favourites but sadly that team could never be re-created. 5-0 away to Chester on the opening day of the Div 3 season gave us the hope that it would continue in that vein but just fell short in the end. And Peter Gleasure was named player of the season in 87/88 if I recall correctly.

It’s amazing how little our fans know about football, as you’ve called me out, again, I actually said I thought he had a good game.... comprehension not your thing? Must be all the tapas your eating making you lethargic, lazy in body lazy in mind.
Hoskins has a lot of detractors, you should come to Sixseats and have a listen, but you strike me as someone who knows everything better?

Your arrogance is quite something isn't it? I saw your comment about Hoskins having a decent game. That doesn't change the fact that you criticise him regularly. Perhaps you're the one with the comprehension problem, making posts without understanding what you are writing. Or perhaps, you think your lazy (and vaguely racist) jibes about tapas help to support your poor defence of an argument.
