Despite our dreadful results recently, amazingly we're still within touching distance. Which frustratingly gives me hope, despite the fact that tonight's showing was hopeless. We need to pluck out a winning performance against Burton, it feels like do or die.

You do know Burton just beat Hull at Hull! We’ve no chance.

What is going to change Sat, it will be hoofball again. Fans stating Sheehan will improve it, he’s not going to score any goals is he?

Sheehan is only going to improve it if he's actually on the pitch. The reality is that we've had it in this league with this manager, he (and most of the players) are just not good enough. Thomas must act without delay.

While I agree that the squad is poor with recruitment woeful this year, we are lucky to some extent that there are 5 other terrible teams too, if we had just drew 0-0 last night it would have taken us out of the relegation places. You get the feeling that unless a few of those teams start picking up results we don’t need to improve that much to have a chance of getting safe, can KC achieve this? I have my doubts.

Burton upwardly mobile, three wins in four and signed some good players in the window, and picked up free agent Danny Rowe yesterday.
Damaging loss today, still as you were position wise at the bottom but now Burton are just two points behind us with a game in hand. A month ago we were nine points ahead of them WITH a game in hand!
Oxford v Wigan was called off today, but will be played tomorrow instead.
Not many games on Tuesday..... Blackpool v ROCHDALE BRISTOL ROVERS v Portsmouth Ipswich Town v NORTHAMPTON
Due to Wigans game today being put back to tomorrow, they have now put their Tuesday night game back to Wednesday. They play Hull then with a 5.30pm kickoff.

After watching yesterdays game my initial thought was I had just seen 2 of the teams to be relegated as the game and both teams performances were nowhere near good enough for division 1. We have Sheehan and Miller to come back which gives us a little hope but they are only 2 players and I doubt there is enough quality in the rest of the squad. Burton have won a few games but they were ineffectual up front and I cannot see them scoring sufficient goals to stay up. Swindon will probably join us as they appear to be just as bad and they have the disadvantage of having John Sheridan in charge. At this stage I think AFC Wimbledon and Rochdale will do enough to stay up leaving the final relegation place to Wigan or Bristol Rovers. I really hope I'm wrong but our I cannot see us turning around our lack of goals. We were suppose to be playing "on the front foot" yesterday and for 20 minutes we looked ok against a poor team but we didn't even force a corner in the whole game.

Agree with a lot of this! Sheehan I get but why is everyone going overboard with Miller based on a 35 minute cameo.....?? He may turn out ok, he may not, but it seems strange we're pinning our hopes on a bloke who we've seen play for just over half an hour! Burton have at least got a bit of momentum now, but they aren't going to score many...seems like they're not conceding many either though, just one in the last four games. Swindon are in trouble and there's nothing to suggest they wont stat there, as for Bristol Rovers i'll reserve judgment until we know who their new manager is. Rochdale score goals for fun, they've scored more than double the amount we have and that should at least see them keep their heads above the parapet. Wimbledon are also looking for a new boss, so again who they get will be important, like us! Potentially three clubs down there who could see a "new manager bounce", and we're only talking about putting 9-12 points on the board quickly for things to look a whole lot different. For me as it stands I'd put us, Swindon, Wigan and Wimbledon down there come the end of the season, with Burton to survive along with Dale and Rovers. As a great man once said though, many twists and turns still to come this season!

We haven't come close to replacing Goode, Wharton, Turnbull, McCormack, Morton or Oliver. No surprise where we are in a higher division.
Sheehan is clearly very injury prone.
