Even if we stay up, we'd probably have to go through this all again anyway?
Stay up and we are guaranteed more Brady and co. The best seasons are invariably in the lowest tier. We should all be used to this by now!

To reach 50 points the bottom 6 need the following:- Swindon 13 points from 9 games, 1.45 points per game. Cobblers 14 8 1.75 Wombles 14 10 1.40 Wigan 15 9 1.66 B.Rovers 16 8 2.0 Roochdale 18 10 1.80 So Swindon and Wombles have the best chance of staying up but as we are outside the bottom 4 with less than a point per game I still think we will not need 50 points to be safe.

Fixtures over the Easter period....
WEDNESDAY 31st Gillingham v WIGAN ATHLETIC
GOOD FRIDAY Accrington v BURTON ALBION Ipswich Town v BRISTOL ROVERS NORTHAMPTON TOWN v Shrewsbury Plymouth Argyle v AFC WIMBLEDON Portsmouth v ROCHDALE SWINDON TOWN v Blackpool
EASTER MONDAY AFC WIMBLEDON v Fleetwood Town BRISTOL ROVERS v Doncaster Rovers BURTON ALBION v SWINDON TOWN Hull City v NORTHAMPTON TOWN ROCHDALE v Ipswich Town WIGAN ATHLETIC v Portsmouth
We have the easiest assignment on Good Friday followed by the most difficult on Easter Monday...in my opinion! We'd better pick up the three points v Shrewsbury...running out of chances now!

If we don’t beat Shrewsbury then we are getting into the realms of relying on pulling off some really shock results. Probably get decent odds on us getting 3 points at London Road.

17th goal of the season, had we been able to keep him I doubt we’d have ever been in any sort of relegation battle. It’s the same every year with contract renewals though, leave it all till the summer, the bad players resign the good ones go elsewhere while other teams tie up their best players early.

Oliver only scored 4 in 30 appearances for us last season and has 14 for Gillingham. I doubt very much he would have anywhere near as many if he had stayed here as we create so few chances. We don't know why he chose to leave but I suspect we probably only offered a 12 month contract to see if he could cut it in division 1 whereas Gillingham gave him 2 years. If you believe him he said he wanted to go to a club already established in the division.

According to Mr Evans Gillingham offered less than we were offering him and I'm sure he wouldn't lie.

On the other hand perhaps he remembered the comments on here when we signed him as most posters were underwhelmed. A journeyman striker who had scored 8 goals in 83 appearances for his previous 2 clubs so you could understand some of the comments. Currently on his best run of form so Mr Evans is getting the best out of him, perhaps we should try to poach Mr Evans at the end of the season.

Him and his assistant were wearing tracksuits on Saturday, they looked like they were wearing blue inflatable sumo suits

Of course he would travel from his Sheffield home down to Gillingham, a round trip of getting on for 450 miles, for less money than we offered him and he could commute when playing for us ? What a strange decision

What a strange decision And a wise one considering how it's panned out. He could be playing Championship football next season.
