Rochdale went behind in the 90th minute, but an equaliser 7 minutes into stoppage time gives them a glimmer of hope.

The updated bottom 6....

19.  AFC Wimbledon    P 43   Pts 49   GD -14
20.  Wigan Athletic      P 44   Pts 48   GD -20
---------------------------------------------------
21.  Northampton T     P 44   Pts 44   GD -23
22.  Rochdale              P 43   Pts 43   GD -19
R.   Swindon Town      P 44   Pts 40   GD -34
R.   Bristol Rovers       P 44   Pts 38   GD -28

Wimbledon v Rochdale on Tuesday, a win for the Wombles makes them safe......

Next Saturday Wigan are at already promoted Hull, and Wimbledon are at home to Portsmouth......neither of them can win, nor can we lose to Blackpool at home.

We won't win at Sunderland on the final day and we now effectively need to. Game's up, sorry to say.

He should of let it in, it won’t make the slightest bit of difference.

Sunderland won't have anything to play for against us. They have no chance of automatic promotion bar a miracle and very little chance of not having already qualified for the playoffs. Johnson won't want to risk any of their key players getting injured against us. Blackpool are on a poor run (one win in five) so we must fancy our chances against them at home. We could win both games.

We desperately need Wigan to lose against Hull (that should happen) and bottle it against Swindon.

Bristol Rovers are down.

After KC left some suggested Joey Barton as an option but he’s done an awful job Bristol Rovers. Matt Gray another name linked is possibly blowing it at Sutton too with just one win in their last six.

After watching Swindon’s performance against MK this morning, any lingering hope I had of survival has just disappeared.
As always, failure leading to lessons learnt can be a powerful motivator. The big question is, have KT and JB learnt enough from the fiasco that is this season to give us a fighting chance next year in Div 4?

That said, it would be nice to take this to the last Sunday.
A sort of mini success in a crappy year!

We are capable of beating Blackpool next week even if they are playing for a play off place. After a long unbeaten run their wheels seem to have come off, losing at home to Shrewsbury yesterday and at Rochdale before that. They have also only scored 1 goal in their last 4 games. Wigan will want to go up as champions and can beat Wigan leaving us 1 point behind them. Blackpool also have to go to Sunderland on Tuesday night.
Onto the final weekend Sunderland have only 2 points from their last 5 games and their home record is not particularly impressive, only 1 more home win than us. They will have their play off place confirmed so may rest some players, they won't want to pick up any injuries against those bruisers from N'pton. So nothing to be afraid of and we get a shock away win. Meanwhile Wigan will be feeling the pressure and although we all think they should win, relegated Swindon playing with total freedom and spoil their party.
Simples.

If you want to change your first reference to Wigan in your fourth sentence to Hull I'll delete this post.

Wigan smashed Hull 8-0 this time last season, lets hope they seek some retribution next week and aid the goal difference.

Swindon is the downer.

We are 1/40 for the drop, so loving some of the the optimism and it’s going to take some miracle for us win both, then Wigan not to get two more points. I guess they could draw both and we overtake on GD. We could also beat one team, draw the other and Wigan lose both overtaking them again on GD. In all scenarios it’s effectively a done deal.
All we can do is win both and get the prayer mat out. 6 points from those two fixtures would be quite some achievement in itself and we’d be going down with a proper fight.
Sadly, just can’t see it and yesterday prolonged the agony.

If Wimbledon lose to Rochdale they've got awkward games against Portsmouth and Lincoln to play. We would then need Rochdale to drop some points as well in their last two games.

A Rochdale win would mean we'd need to pick up more points from our games at home to Blackpool and away at Sunderland than they do with home games against fading Doncaster and an away game at Milton Keynes.

Wimbledon v Rochdale on Tuesday, a win for the Wombles makes them safe......

realistically a draw does also.
Think a Rochdale win would be best to at least keep another team in the sights. So many different scenarios left to play out with so few games left. Problem is most result is us going down
