If we have all our fundamentals in place, best side out, correct formation, and the wind blowing in the right direction...0-0

Sebastian Stockbridge reffing this. So far this season from 9 games has issued 32 yellows and 1 red. We only appear to have had him twice in the last 2 years, our 3-1 home win over Plymouth last season and our 5-0 away win at Macclesfield 2 years ago. Burton are another side suffering under covid and for last weeks game at Hull they recalled players they had let go out on loan and still could not field a full subs bench. They are 1 of only 2 sides who have conceded more goals than us (Swindon being the other) and have only 1 win from their 12 games which oddly enough was at home to Accrington. they also managed a creditable draw at Peterborough. They have lost 3 of their 5 home games. Burton have several ex cobblers, as well as JJo'T they have our former loan players Joe Powell and Neal Eardley although neither of these featured against Hull as Powell had covid and Eardley was injured.JJo'T does not appear to be flavour of the month as in the Hull game Burton had centre back Hughes sent off (therefor suspended for tomorrow) and they withdrew a striker to bring on JJo'T play centre back. On the Burton match day thread a poster said "Hughes sent off after 2 completely harsh yellows. O'Toole on for Vassilev so we're effectively down to 9 men now". We could do with a similar perfomance to last years visit. Cannot see this finishing 0-0 with 2 leaky defenses although neither side are scoring many.

Will behappy with a 0-0 draw or at a pinch a 0-1 win

I actually think this is winnable but we will need to create more than we did on Tuesday, actually think Smith could score if he is played

The problem to solve for KC is how to create chances and only then can we judge whichever two strikers are played.
Personally I would play McWilliams, to give energy to the midfield, with Adams wide right midfield with Roberts balancing the LHS.
Holmes should start in the 10 position.
At least it might be worth watching for a change!

5 of Burton's covid absentees from last week now available including Joe Powell and Lucas Akins, they only have 2 isolating now. Striker Hemmings will be missing through injury and 2 players returning from international duty are doubtful with knocks, centre back Hughes suspended and JJo'T is expected to deputise. Their concern with the 5 covid returnees is how it has affected them as a player who started their last game had to be withdrawn after 50 minutes as he was feeling dizzy.

Roberts, seriously, he did himself no favours in the game with Oxford I would play Marshall left Adams right and Holmes behind the front two, but I suspect Hoskins will fill at least one of those roles 😬

So you are judging Roberts playing as a full back instead of his true position of attacking midfielder. He still put in the 3 best crosses.

I don’t disagree that he’s OK as a winger BUT we both know Curlio will play a wing back system. I’d play Marshall all day long, we need to attack first half before Curlio sends them to sleep at half time.

The problem with Mark Marshall is, when he has come on as sub he has had good games BUT the last two games he has started he has had dissapointing games.
