Sheehan was good, Holmes outstanding in the first half but understandably faded badly in the second, Smith good throughout (as an attacking threat in the first half and then defending from the front in the second) but overall I'd give it to Bolger in his best game for the club.

Average performances generally but Holmes looks a class above the others in that he is tidier in possession and can drive the play.

Holmes excellent first half,Sheehan consistently good every game,Hoskins should have been removed in the second half, but i will go for Bolger who won everything in the penalty area.
He is in his element when it is a back to the wall job and he has to just defend. It is a different matter when he is in the right back position of a 3.

Bolger for me also and am glad that some others think so to!

This doesn’t necessarily relate to this match but I do find it interesting in seasons we don’t have any huge stand out players how well central defenders seem to score in the vote as an almost default choice. I can see Sheehan winning it this year.
