Ive given up trying to have an opinion on Curle.
To have this amount if points so far is not bad at all. Continue like this and we have a very good shout if staying up.

The togetherness and team spirit we showed tonight is what can keep us in this division so it was brilliant to see. For all the possession Fleetwood had they never had a clear cut chance. Our defending was fantastic now if we could just improve our counter attacking we'd worry a few teams.

Brilliant win. What people say on here (you know who are)who said we can't beat teams who are well above us. We just have! Take note you squealing weasel's. The lads out there tonight dug in, they fought for one another. Grow up you Mother F*****s its a mans game and it will be a long hard season, but surely we should be all in it together? Well done KC and all the lads. UTC.

Once again 71% possession means nothing as they go home empty handed, same number of shots on target and corners as the team with 29% possession and Arnold rarely troubled. The back 3, which has come in for much criticism, defended resolutely with so many balls coming into the box. Not a classic but a workman like performance. Apart from the goal we created very little and we need to use the ball better, also stop so many balls into the box as another game we will not get away so lightly. Should give the team added confidence going into another tough game against Doncaster.

The opposition makes the win all the sweeter.
Yes it did - Fleetwood on this showing are greatly overrated! For all their possession Fleetwood had few shots 'actually' on goal and can only recall one significant save by Arnold who had very steady game! For all the criticism suffered by KC for his Team selection tonight he actually got it right. I suspect KC was more pleased by the clean sheet than maybe the actual win. Smith did ok and Adam's ability to put in a 2/3 quality crosses won the game. All in all a great defensive display which in the end thoroughly merited the win. Delighted that the doom-mongers now have to eat their words. The ironic thing is that Marshall's shot on goal was the nearest either side got to scoring 2nd half. A tad more pace on the strike; it would have been in! 14th for now - playoffs anyone!

Cracking win with plenty of resilience and fight. A very Keith Curle win. Not an easy watch but it extends the league run to just one defeat in six. Defence were magnificent but we defended as a team. Hoskins put in another great shift. Just need to see more quality going forward. We know Holmes can do that. With Chuk or Rose up top we'd be getter off. Seal isn't looking the part. Roll on Satdee with a home crowd.

Had a bit of time for reflection and whilst it’s hard to be critical when you win I wasn’t entirely happy with that performance. Playing the percentages game we would lose 3 out of 4 games putting in a performance like that? If ever there was a team moulded in the shape of a manager Fleetwood are it, cnnts who are not as good as they think they are? My view is we should have played a higher line pressed them all over the pitch and got right in their faces and watch them unhinge? We gave them entirely too much respect and got away with it? I like Timbo, but I don’t know what he was on talking about claiming that was one of our best performances under Curle? Even Keef was a bit incredulous about that statement. Given our recruitment strategy I expect us to be a bit light on ability and that’s fair enough? However we need to compensate for that by having a bit of backbone and determination, and not allow us to get pushed around by the likes of Fleetwood. As I said, I feel a bit of an ar5e for being critical off the back of a win, and 7 points out of 9 is an outstanding effort. I just didn’t like what I saw, especially first half and think Lady Luck smiled on us a bit this time? Generally speaking put in a performance like that and she won’t?

Tactically; KC 1 Barton 0 especially at half time by moving Smith and Seal wider onto their full backs as it stopped most of their crosses. Plus moving Hoskins more central stopped Whelans influence.
Has Barton and Fleetwood stopped squealing yet? I think my ears are bleeding!

Fair enough we got a hard fought result . It looks to me though that we have now stopped pressing high up the pitch or even half way down it and are now content to defend the penalty area. Are we really good enough to do that and play on the counter ? It relies on us making no mistakes at all and for me it’s a recipe for disaster.

It was an odd and somewhat contradictory game to watch last night. On the one hand, all of the defenders put in decent individual performances, working hard, putting their bodies on the line and winning block after block, tackle after tackle, header after header.
On the other hand, fairly early on last night I described the defence as shambolic and do you know what? I stand by that. They didn't work as a unit, they didn't dominate the attackers or marshall them out of the game, they just stood up to a beating. And that beating became ever more brutal and frantic as we sat back deeper and deeper in the second half.
So yes, they did well and it was a fantastic 3 points, but on another day the tactic of just desperately throwing yourself in the way of everything is going to backfire. There's a lot of work for KC still to do with that back line!

Just watched the "highlights" and there appeared to be some handbags between Hoskins and Horsfall in the goal celebration.

It's not necessarily work to be done on the defence, as they appeared to have done a good/decent job under intense pressure last night. The work needs to be done on moving the line of that defence further up the field of play in order for the defence to not have to re-enact The Alamo every game on their 6 or 18 yard line. Moving the opposition attack from the goalkeepers doorstep will reduce the amount of last ditch defending and the tendency to concede late.
