Perhaps Nigel. But his silence has gone on for far too long and now he has to do something.

I agree mate. No matter what I think, Curle is in the shyte. At this point I am less worried about Curle losing the dressing room, than I am NTFC losing the fans. If we don’t stay up, I would confidently predict that season ticket sales will drop through the floor next seasons.

I wouldn’t be surprised if some don’t start asking for a refund on missed games, if we don’t see something tangible from the club soon.

This post is absolutely spot on. And is exactly the reason why I get so fed up when reading “we can’t afford to sack him”. More significantly we can’t afford to keep him. Because fans are losing the love for the club and that’s due to the football being played.

Genuine question.....do you think refunds will be offered at all this season?
If so how will they do it? Season ticket cost minus number of games subscribed to on IFollow minus number of games attended in person equals....?
Maybe a discount on season tickets for next season for those who renew?

I doubt very much that actual cash refunds will be made......if we "can't afford" to pay out 100-200k to sack a manager we certainly can't afford to refund 750k-1m in season ticket money.

Dan, there you go again ...
Your definition of a “fan” is so far away from mine - and I suspect many others. 11 year olds boys fallout of love with Man Utd / Liverpool when they start to struggle.

My daughter started dating a total drongo many years ago. He was obnoxious and for a while he changed my daughters character. I have to say I began to dislike her. Never once did my love for her wain and never once would I not have done anything to make her happy. Real love is unconditional.

Now I’m not being so crass and saying that a football club is like a child but it maybe has some similarities for us to ponder on..
.
I appreciate I’m not a fan according to your definition but that’s the way I view it. So I won’t be asking for a refund and I won’t withdraw my support for my team because we happen to be in a bit of a rut!

I haven’t given a definition of a fan Jim. Anyone linked to our club is a fan. Anyone who posts on this forum is a fan.

I won’t be asking for a refund either. Will I renew next year though? Undecided.

Sure the club stated once EFL bailout was finally agreed, they would be in touch with season ticket holders to discuss options, but alas we've heard nothing whatsoever from KT since September...

I know scum boro have offered season ticket holders various options regarding current season tickets...

The board are playing a very dangerous game in regards to lack of any updates on the situation...the world has & is changing on a daily basis & people will really have to think twice whether to blindly renew again during these testing times...

I for one won't be renewing if KC is still at the helm...life is too short to be bored sh!tless watching the utter dross which is currently being served up.

I don’t know whether the club would have a choice or not about refunds under contract law. I certainly don’t advocate that either. Like most, I am more than happy to forget any refund. But, I am genuinely concerned about the morale of the support during this time. Of course I consider the staff at NTFC, as a lot of them are supporters as well. But it is imperative to stay up for a number of reasons. From the supporters perspective, most will not have enjoyed this season for various reasons. Lack of games, no away games, and a lot of these being attractive games. From the clubs perspective. Well... Recovery financially in league two, compared to league one, will make a huge difference.

I genuinely think, that if we come out of this pandemic in league two, it will have a huge impact on season ticket sales. It all boils down to one thing... Trust. Does KT & DB trust Curle to keep us up. Are they happy to invest further money into the squad with Curle at the helm, making the necessary choices regarding players. It’s easy for me to spend their money. However, the support and the club need something positive to survive this pandemic. For me, that has to be retaining league one status.

it’s pretty unanimous.
Very few want Curle to stay .
Kelvin - you have to act

Is it? 🤔

I thought it was at the ground when the 3rd went in but listening to BBC Northampton on the way home there were texts supporting Keith.

I think we should back KT in whatever he decides.
If KT and the gang can’t afford to sack Keith then so be it.
We go again.

It definitely was the case in the ground.

Obviously it was the 'not proper Cobblers fans' who were texting BBC Northampton?  Grin
