Doesn’t that just hurt the fans, manager and players of the clubs who stood up against it. Maybe a minor inconvenience to the owners who might miss on a bit of money for that season, who knows this scare for uefa might just have improved the clubs hand in the long run too.
This is a difficult one as yes it only really punishes the fans. The clubs and owners will still remain very rich.
BUT.... the same applied to Wigan, Bolton, Leeds, Coventry, Bury, Coventry, Pompey etc.
Unless your going to get the Glazers doing community service I don't know what else you can do. Ban them from Champions League / Europa for a season, quadruple their payments to lower leagues, make them finish a half built stand? All have some impact on the fans.
Enforce a 50+1 model on them like the German leagues? FA wouldnt be able to afford the lawyers to win that one
