So the magic points total to stay up was 48. We were just 3 shy. Those defeats to those around us were costly.
I'm not sure Wigan would have imploded against Swindon of all people if they had to avoid losing to stay up.

Yes, 'good housekeeping' was frequently quoted at the beginning of this season as being our saviour and many expected that we would only have to survive to stay up. Look how that worked out.
I think that it was the same people who were certain that we wouldn’t finish the season due to Covid - the same people who are now 100% certain that players who are out of contract won’t be re-signing. I am always wary of people who think they are 100% certain about anything, particularly when it relates to the pandemic.

I am 100% sure Lloyd Jones won’t be signing 😉

So you keep saying, is that like you were certain that the season would get stopped/cancelled?

It got pretty close with non league null and void up to the national league and that’s a complete mess with no relegation etc.

Ah, close but no cigar. I don’t recall it ever being seriously discussed about the Football League season being curtailed.

I’ll put my hand up, that was me, well the first bit anyway.

Let me make one thing absolutely clear, the Trust “advisor” is not god. Are you going to tell him or shall I?

Fair play mate, I’m not saying that anyone was Nostradamus - I was just pointing out the folly in claiming any kind of certainty over the last year or so.

I’m starting to get an uneasy feeling that a lot of my opinions turn out to be b0ll0cks?
