I don't blame Brady for Mitchell's howlers. Arnold is equally poor and his back injury has forced Brady's hand in terms of selection. As a manager you just cannot legislate for that kind of individual incompetence. Curle's recruitment is the primary reason for our relegation, and we have to remember that.
However, Brady's substitutions smacked of a worrying Dean-Austenesque tactical naivety today. Two things that both Curle and Brady have repeatedly failed to understand this season:
1. You cannot score if you do not have possession of the football. Taking McWilliams off meant that Blackpool started to completely dominate midfield possession. Taking Morris off would have been a much better choice, but I think Brady kept him on out of a misguided sense that he would be more 'creative'.
2. You cannot score if your crossing and creative-decision is terrible and you leave your best assist-maker on the bench until the 75th minute. Hamstring or no hamstring, Marshall should have been on way sooner today as he is our best and often only chance of an assist. As widemen, Miller and Hoskins have no creative end product and their decision making is poor.
All the talk about strikers this season has been largely missing the point IMO. Curle and Brady's constant throwing on of extra strikers has just been shuffling the deckchairs on the Titanic. The fundamental issue is the creative supply line and neither of them have done enough to address it. Strikers who can create chances for themselves with zero service are as rare as rocking **** at this level. Chuks is the nearest we've got to someone in this category and he should have been given more minutes than Edmondson and Rose today.
Having said all that, I'm not one for throwing the baby out with the bath water. IMO Brady has done just about enough to emerge as a credible candidate to take us forward. Overall, the style of play has improved, he's improved players like Watson and Horsfall and the results against the likes of Portsmouth, Ipswich and Oxford suggest that he can make an impact at this level. I'd like to see what he can achieve with a full transfer window and a fully fit squad. I just hope he learns from his mistakes in games like this. Time will tell whether he's given the 'assurances' which he needs to take us forward.
Do you want the managers job Bungle? Sounds like you know what you're talking about.

Wasn't expecting a miracle - but I was expecting us to go down with all guns firing. Didn't happen - can't remember a cross that got past the first defender. No real fight at all. To be fair to Blackpool they handled us well and were in the driving seat after the first 15 minutes, barely needing to get out of 2nd gear.

This performance epitomised our season. Lack of ceativity and cutting edge leading to the opposition goalkeeper having one of his easier games of the season. Poor delivery of crosses, corners and free kicks with too many giving their 'keeper catching practice. Presenting the opposition with goals, 2 from our 'keeper today to add to his collection although since xmas there has not been too many from defensive errors as there was in the first half of the season starting in the first minute of the first league game. Don't know why people are complaining about Watson being subbed as he was hardly in the game today. Not sure why some people are mentioning Adams and Holmes. Adams was rightly let go as he could not reproduce his division 2 form in division 1 with very few assists and Holmes was mostly ineffective in his short time here and has not been great at Southend apparently.

Abysmal. Only positive is Posh completely **** up their promotion party.
Have you seen the penalty decision for their equaliser ? I really don't like Lincoln either but that decision was one of the worse ever, they must be SO pissed off.

Spinning off at a tangent - if you thought the ref in our game was bad then have a look at the penalty that John Busby gave P**h to make it 3-3. Absolutely unbelievable.

Quite some irony that we kept the worst of everything in our locker before releasing it all in time for our relegation party...
1. Worst goal keeping display of the season. 2. Worst tactical set up of the season. 3. Worst use of subs of the season.
If there was ever a moment that summed up our season it was when it was 0-0 - striker goes clean through on goal, and then falls over. Almost biblical!
As for Brady; not one bit convinced, sorry. We've gradually (overall) got worse and worse during his reign, with the odd little spike along the way. He has no previous football league credentials, it would be a huge g@mble to appoint him and it could very easily end in Austin style tears, 10 games in....
His points per games ratio is basically no better than Curles, and thats with a better squad of players than Curle had to choose from during the first half of the season.
He interviews well, he's a top bloke, but I've made my mind up now. No thanks!

Come on Shane, this "better squad" was assembled by Curle and Curle had 7 games after the start of the January transfer window and picked up 3 points. Brady has managed to get 20 points from 19 games which is considerably better than KC. Also take into consideration that KC had a choice of keepers, something that Brady has never had.

Yeah I saw that. Must be one of the biggest refereeing howlers I’ve seen, so much so that it was actually funny. The guy should have been given a straight red for how bad the simulation was! I always wonder what a ref must think when they watch something like that back? He had a good view too.

Just seen it! Unbelievable! If that was a penalty and luck evens itself out over a season we are due about 25-30 pens!

I've just got around to watching this - that's disgraceful refereeing! He looked to be in a good position too so quite how he fell for that...

Lincoln have received an apology from the head of referees. That ref must have been proper cringing watching that back.

Lincoln have received an apology from the head of referees. That ref must have been proper cringing watching that back. Well that's all OK then, the head of referee's has apologised . I assume that the ref will make up the hundreds of thousands of pounds that that decision will cost Lincoln. We've all seen some dodgy decisions this season but that particular decision has some really far reaching consequences.

Slightly funnier due to it being Appleton. For all it’s faults I’m sure even VAR would have pulled that one up.
