This is the decision i have been advocating for the last 2/3 years and so it’s no surprise to know i’m delighted by it . Let JB get his own team of back room people and scouts around him as well as young hungry players with pace and power and witness the change . He will play attacking , good football and will give people a chance . i hope it’s not too late to secure lloyd Jones and Watson but i fear the club have acted far too late . After those two , i am only bothered about Mcwilliams , hoskins and Horsfall . Pollock and Chuck would be nice to keep. The rest can go .

I feel very confident with JB at the helm! Happy to make the bold prediction now that we will finish in the top 3 automatic spots next year. I'm confident that JB has had long enough to know which players he can work with, which ones he needs to move on, and the type of players he needs for next year. Roll on the promotion party 21-22!

Pleased as punch. As others have said - we’ll know if JB is going to be sacked by Christmas by the quality of the recruits he signs up in June / July. Let no one be in any doubt - this current squad is not capable of a top half finish in Div 2. You go Brady Bunch - make us proud!

Christmas cracker or Christmas turkey then? Personally I am more excited about this appointment than any other I can remember? I don’t really have an answer why, but how disappointing will it be if 10 games or so in we revert to the same old same old and bring in another merry-go-round manager? Since this is kind of a new dawn perhaps it’s time we ride out a string of disappointing performances, hold our nerve and look at the medium to long term goals a bit more? I think we are all pretty much in agreement that the old strategies don’t work, because we end up right back at square one. And I don’t just mean league position either, we always don’t appear to have any real clue as to how to fix it other than “try another bloke”. Perhaps it’s the proposed additional changes that make this time feel different, please god it is?

Please with the appointment, but keen to know who the assistant will be as they can also have a significant influence. With the changes that are needed, and no doubt restrictions or limitations with pre season, I would anticipate a slow ish start and then build through the season with some improvements in January. All the talk has been about 2-3 years to build a structure but realistically they will be under pressure if were not at least challenging for top 7

I think providing Brady keeps us away from the drop zone he will be given the full two years with any dissent being played off against the notion that we are building something more permanent. It's what the majority seem to want which is convenient for KT/DB, the idea has been sold well. It'll give Brady some wriggle room and also allow the owners time to take whatever route, on and off the field, they are planning before they need to think about shelling out again for new management .

Apologies if I’ve missed anything but is Ian Atkins being lined up for the Head of Recruitment role, Director of Football or Assistant Manager - it’s all a bit confusing with the talk of this new structure?

Hope some of us are more patient than that. If we can see improvements in structure, more of our own players progressing and better football, I think it will be worth it.

Although I agree with that I think some of our more vocal fans wouldn’t put up with a bottom half vanilla finish.

I remember a game under Calderwood where if we won we would have gone top 3, people were still complaining and saying he should be sacked. Personally as long as there is progress and can see structure, intent etc then I'd settle for that but there will be those that vocalise their disapproval regardless.

With restructuring going on and more home grown players coming through I would be happy with survival and signs that things are coming together for the first season.

Let's be honest, even if we were two nil up against Man City in the quarter finals of the FA Cup, there would still be some that would moan that it wasn't three!

It appears it will be JB's choice and from what's being reported it will be another with very strong local ties and knowledge of the counties footballing set up. This could possibly suggest his assistant manager will already be known to us? This clear out and resetting of the system is long overdue and makes for an interesting summer. I can only speak for myself but I'm way more excited about the coming months now than I would've been with another bang average merry-go-round manager appointment. Vive la Révolution Rodney!

Kevin Wilkin? My main concern is whether or not Brady has the pulling power to attract decent players but having said that at the end of the day money talks.

Plus that we are a 'bigger' club in League Two than we were in League One.

Years and years ago I stood next to Jeema in the away end urinals when we were 3-0 up somewhere at half-time .... I was treated to an expletive ridden diatribe about how many chances we had wasted

We usually have 2 managerial positions for the first team but Marc Richards is coach, so what duties will the assistant manager cover?

Sounds like Rico is being lined up more to create the pathway from U18s to the 1st team? He would probably have a full time job on his hands by just teaching the strikers how to hit barn doors.
