Actively looking for an assistant currently, waiting on a decision from one I’m led to believe. A coach from another club.

Sounds like Rico is being lined up more to create the pathway from U18s to the 1st team?

He would probably have a full time job on his hands by just teaching the strikers how to hit barn doors.

Do you think his decision will be dependant on how they do in the play-offs?

Crucial position needs to be well researched and not another cheap appointment.

That would be fantastic, but I think he now comes as a pair with Wilder so will wait until Wilder gets a new job, which I shouldn't think will take too long after his heroics with Sheffield Utd.

It will be interesting to see where Wilder goes for his next job. Whilst it was all happiness with us, he's had run-ins with his bosses at Oxford And Sheffield United when things weren't going well.

Bizarrely I know some Sheffield U fans and they said thanks a lot for Wilder sarcastically, some people beggar belief.

I wonder if Brady will insist on widening the pitch after being narrowed for last season?

Congrats on the silliest suggestion of the season so far!  Grin

Wilder supposedly was the highest earner at Sheffield United, rumoured to be earning £60k a week once they were in the Premier League. Unless his assistant is earning about 30 times less than him, you can understand why Knill isn’t going to come back...

Silly or not he is allowed his opinion. Would prefer Wilder back! He is out of work! Keep it up Lawford!

Of course he is allowed an opinion, I just said that it was a silly one.

My opinion is that you must be bored to be making comments like these Evers!

Grin I did say "realms of fantasy". I know its probably not happening and I would expect him to team up with Wilder again. But he also might not want a high profile/stressful job. He has said something similar about being a manager in the past.
But other than that yeah, totally agree!

We can dream! I miss the quality of set pieces that we saw under CW and AK - apparently they were the brainchild (brainchildren?) of Knill alongside the overlapping centre backs at Sheff Utd that everyone was talking about last season!
