Seems like a good appointment on the face of it and in reasonably timely fashion too. All the transfer committee now in place! Good work. Now to bring in some gems  Grin

The only databases he uses are SATNAV, Twitter and Facebook. Evil

That article was a good find Ragdoll, sounds like Foyle certainly puts in the miles to see players.

Interesting to read the quote "The likes of Trevor Carson, Cedric Kipre, Charles Dunne and former players Louis Moult and Curtis Main have all been recruited for a relative pittance" - some good players in there. Kipre is an especially good find for Motherwell as he had never played for Leicester yet did well enough at Motherwell to go on to sign for Wigan and West Brom.

Before I get to excited, was he responsible for taking Harry Smith to Motherwell?

Seems a sound appointment on first glance, hopefully the change we needed.

Doesn't seem to stay anywhere long. Would we have him back? Not so sure, he's been here twice and left twice, both times it was his choice.

Maybe the manager he left us for has found a new job somewhere??

Probably end up at St Mirren. Stephen Robinson joined them as manager in February 2022.

You'd think that Colin Calderwood's long association with all things football at a Football League level would give him a host of ideas/contacts of who would suit if the budget is available and the current management team can't cover the role.

Connolly has been pretty much a regular starter for Morecambe (but hardly got a look in here) and after taking 10 points from their last 5 games they are edging closer to staying up with Adams back in charge.

Definitely have him back, even if it was on a short term contract over the summer.

In this game recruitment is everything, that’s at every single level. IMO the head of recruitment is the most important post at a club by a country mile.
