The plan is for all restrictions to be lifted on June 21st...... so thats a yes. The current rise in cases is contained in certain areas at present..... so I could see local lockdowns or restrictions. As it stands travel/fans from clubs such as Rochdale or Oldham for example might not be permitted to travel. So I still see some very limited restrictions, but nothing on the scale of this season.

Made my day this one! Walking distance from my house, generally tends to fall on a sunny day, burgers, beers, a first look at our new players and generally a few trialists, sometimes get some non-Cobblers supporting mates along for it too. One of my favourite games of the season, even if it is a friendly!!

Normally with pre season friendlies we start with Sileby, followed by games against non league opposition, building up and concluding with games against stiffer opposition with other EFL teams. Rather strange that we play Sileby, when usually all players get 45 minutes game time, then on the following Tuesday night we play West Ham.

That's because the following tuesday night West Ham want all their players to have 45 minutes.

I think a much better gesture would have been a free ticket to, say, an FA cup game, not a meaningless friendly, that I for one, am not really interested in.

I thought you were on a self imposed exile in the Galapagos Islands though? Or is that Shoemaker?

There’s whispers in high places of another lockdown in September, apparently the data modelling is predicting it. Hope it doesn’t happen but I’m just repeating what I’ve been told!

Always on the cards unfortunately, the initial increase in numbers has just been a little slower than expected.
