Finding the best chippy is the Holy Grail! I don't think there are many places who nail great fish and chips, normally let down by flat, soggy batter.
The first one (Windsor) was really good but haven't been there for years.
Been to Nick's Plaice a few times and like that he cooks it all fresh and always been really nice.
You have to eat F&C fresh though and it never travels well.
My favourite is always the Black Country Museum but a bit far to travel.
Anyway, thanks for the heads up and a good excuse not to cook later.
