Cobblers to get promoted, Rangers to win the league 10 times and England to win the World Cup.
Have to agree Club teams success gives you more pleasure, but I’d love England to win just not as much.
It’s the only scenario on here that’s acceptable, failure is not an option and I won’t contemplate anything else, sorry.

Just interested where peoples loyalties lie. 2 questions;
a) Would you prefer England to win the Euros or Cobblers to get promoted?
b) Would you prefer England to win the Euros or Cobblers to stay in the league?
Obviously, if I could, I'd choose both scenarios to both questions, but your only allowed to choose one.
I would answer Cobblers to both scenarios, club v country every time.
I know at least one person who'd choose England to both scenarios
I imagine that I am that person. England, hands down. If England were to win another major trophy and I died the next day then I would die a happy man. I have had this conversation with Shoemender many a time and he still gets it wrong!!! Grin

You are indeed that man. You'll be the oldest man in the world if you die the day after England win another major trophy!! Hope I'm wrong.

I’d need photos of Baldy in full kit and boots sitting in front of the telly, he would then be elevated to a legendary status.

Cobblers in both. You can change Euro to World and would still be the same answer.

I'm still a staunch Cobblers in both camp but how good was that tonight? Nerves, excitement, relief, joy. It was an absorbing game. Let's go one better now and win it and I'll let you know if it brings me more happiness and pride than the recent Cobblers successes.......

I’m not English so the question isn’t for me. But I can see how a successful England and a strong league benefits both.

If England win the Euros we will see a greater enthusiasm and positive feeling amongst supporters of all clubs. And some of the players may have been with premier clubs in their youth but had their first taste of first team with lower league clubs - of course Kyle Walker and Dominic Calvert-Lewis with us.

Why does it have to be Cobblers v England??

For me it's both. I want success for my club side and my nation. It's as simple as that.

Come on England, you can do it.

It doesn’t. It was just a theoretical question to see who meant the most to people. Obviously we all want both and fortunately if England win it doesn’t mean Cobblers aren’t going to get promoted or get relegated. Huh? Lips Sealed Cry It’s an age old debate between football fans. Baldy and I have discussed it many times.

Quite happy for the Cobblers to finish bottom half of League two if England beat Italy on Sunday.

Kyle Walker played very well on Wednesday. In fact his form in the Euro’s has been impressive… IMO of course. Would like both to do well; for England against France, Spain and Germany and win the World Cup. For Cobblers a win definitely puts a spring in my step!

I thought he was a bit hit and miss against Ukraine and Germany tbh, brilliant against Denmark though.

Well, let's hope the other end of this Faustian pact pays out - Cobblers to get promoted now.
