Welcome new Cobblers fan. Are you from Northampton/shire or Leicester/shire? Hope you don’t mind our shīt ground, it’s been an ongoing project for 27 years and another 30ish before that.
I'm from Leicestershire Shoemender, I live in Melton Mowbray close to twinlakes.

Not far from Northants then. At least you didn’t choose Peterborough, or jump on some other “successful” bandwagon. Enjoy the ride, it’s generally up and down.

Lived in Leicester from 1997 to 2000, City centre near King Street. Love Leicester as a city...but always Cobblers, never Foxes!

Hi guys,
tomorrow will be my first game as a brand new cobblers fan. previously i've watched leicester city but due to circumstances outside of my control I am no longer able to attend home games. What good pubs are there around the pts academy stadium?
Depending what you term as 'good pubs' the immediate vicinity of Sixfields is bereft! From the train station, 7-10 min walk opposite Carlsberg Brewery is the Malt Shovel. Iconic in Northampton for real ales. If going towards Sixfields, up Weedon Road is Thomas à Becket. Decent pub with ales and Sky Sports. Further towards Sixfields is the Foundry Tavern and within a 10-15min walk is the Sevens - very much rugby orientated!

i dont think that matters mate. what matters is you'll have one more supporter this season That answers that then, you’re going to fit right in.
|
Not a real supporter but unelected chair of the Northampton Town Honorary Supporters Club. (Please note: any opinions given may not necessarily be shared by proper supporters. In incidents of conflict the views of real supporters shall take precedence).

Welcome aboard the good ship Cobblers, Filbert! It will be interesting to hear a newcomer's thoughts on our performances and players.
In terms of pubs, Coolio is very much a real ale buff, but if you're just after a bog standard prematch pint there's a Flaming Grill pub called The Walter Tull and a Hungry Horse pub that are both just over the road from the stadium, plus there's Carr's Bar in the stadium itself .

18 months out from the stadium! Reckon I'll probably be a bit emotional going through the turnstiles. Hopefully it's not the turnstiles on the way out after being thrashed.

I was going to be there but I have an FA Cup tie at Windsor FC this afternoon, although I'll be at Coventry on Wednesday. Come on you Cobblers...

Under 18's win their first game of the season 3 -1 . Hattrick for Jack Connor interesting to see if he or Lack, Abimbola and Ngwa who played in the Rushden game will get any opportunities this year. I remember seeing Chuks name often in the reports previous years.
Over to the first team.

Hattrick incoming for Benny. I assume McWilliams isn’t ‘match fit’.
