I will wear a mask where I feel it is necessary, in closed, confined or 'busy' areas, in order to protect my family, friends and myself.

This might be contentious with some people and I'm not looking for a row or anything, just genuinely curious - what's everyone's thoughts on wearing masks on Saturday? And I mean nose and mouth coverings rather than Geema or JJOT ones, before some smart arse suggests otherwise. Wink

Personally, I'm tempted to bring one and wear it in the indoor areas and take it off while in my seat but haven't really made my mind up at the moment.

I would keep your mask on firmly mate if I were you, likely to be many valiants in and around the stadium.

I did the preview before the referee appointments had been made, but now it has been announced that Simon Mather will take charge of the game. Its his first EFL game after earning promotion from the National League list where he served for three years. Mather took charge of the National League playoff final between Torquay and Hartlepool just six weeks ago.
Trevor Kettle makes an early appearance at Sixfields as he is the fourth official.

I don't think Kettle has been demoted as most referees seem to officiate as 4th official at times. He'll no doubt be back with the whistle but he might get "mist" in the fog.

Re masks, I'll have mine and will wear it in the crowded spots and anywhere else that I think it might stop others feeling uncomfortable.

Polite advice to anyone planning to wear a face covering to protect themselves... Go for something proper. Surgical masks, cloth face coverings and visors will do very little to protect you from airborne virus (those types are much better at stopping you from spreading it to others).

Also polite request to both mask wearers and non mask wearers, no need to give each other snide comments.

(Happened to me in Tesco "why you wearing a mask you loser")

Can I suggest the person who said that is the real loser, not you.

If someone said that to me I'd be inclined to say "my life, my decision" and leave it at that. There are some right idiots in this country.
