At last it's the new 2021 -22 season and we can return to stadiums.
To qualify to cast your one vote per match, you either need to have been at the game or watched it 'LIVE' on TV, on iFollow (for our overseas members, season ticket holders or paying on a game by game basis whilst that option remains) or if we have a game broadcast on one of the regular UK terrestrial/subscription channels. A bit of Integrity is required here If you believe that none of the players deserve your vote, you do have the option of voting for our unofficial sponsor: Clare Balding...

Many thanks Martin (The Hask) , for volunteering to take over the management and running of the Player of the Season (POTS) for the new (2021-22) season. Everyone has an opinion on their Player of each Match, express yours and maintain the credibility of the overall vote by contributing after every game. Your opinions do count... Top three for last season was: 1. Ryan Watson 2. Shaun McWilliams 3. Clare Balding Hopefully Clare isn't anywhere near to the podium this season.

Benny as been named in the EFL league 2 team of the week. Assume there has been a mix up! He was hooked after 50 minutes

Difficult to choose between Horsfall Kabamba and Pinnock. Kabamba just shades it for me.

Horsfall just in front of Pinnock for me. Also thought Paul Lewis had an excellent secondhalf.Guthrie also deserves a mention.

I thought Horsfall and Guthrie were immense - I don’t think either missed a header all game. Guthrie for me.
