Agreed. I think he should be acknowledging that was a game we clearly should have won and recognise some of the weaknesses, as well as highlighting the positives. After 4 games our forwards have scored 1 league goal between them. That is very reminiscent of last season and a very serious concern. Overall we're not creating enough, the final ball is too often poor and our players do not seem to really attack the ball in the area.
I'm becoming more and more convinced that, at least away from home, and sometimes even at home, we're going to be a defensively minded outfit. JB has changed his tune and is starting to talk about building from defence more and more, which has always been the Calderwood way, so that may have come from him. We need to get results this way otherwise fans will get restless, because it won't be fun to watch. Even then I see no excuse for playing so conservatively against the likes of Crawley, when we clearly have a better side than them.
