Ian Henderson has been brilliant for every team he's played for except us. He was s***e.
33 games and no goals for us....mind you he was only 22/23 when he was with us..... he waited until he was a bit older before finding some form...... Talking of other strikers, Harry Smith has just bagged for Orient. Daniel Powell also scoring for Barnet in the National League

Well on the plus side that's three clean sheets and a point on the board. However strikers cant hit a barn door with a banjo.

Crazy to think that the toothless attack from Tuesday failed again today.

We knew that on Tuesday, strange JB picked them again. Maybe third time lucky, I guess if we pick them every week, they must score one day right?

Crazy to think that the toothless attack from Tuesday failed again today. And that Crawley got hit for 6 by FGR last week and we couldn't manage one. No goals from open play in League 2 so far for us...... but we've got this league in the bag!!

That was a painful watch, time for my besty KT to get his wallet out we most definitely need another left sided defender and a striker. Over to the man who promises fûck all and delivers less.

Defense is fine; need a striker or a creative midfielder. The same problem as last season - need goals.

In a sense we've proved two negatives so far this season;
1. We aren't going to score enough goals.
2. Without the Guthrie/Horsfall combination in Central Defence we are dodgy at the back.
There are some positives of course - a much better goalkeeper for example.

54% possession, 14 shots with only 3 on target and 6 corners according to the BBC.
I feel that we've created enough chances for once and with better finishing we would have won the game. The midfield definitely seems to work better with Flores as a creative option in there, but I'd prefer to have McWilliams as the more defensively-minded partner. Perhaps Brady is hoping that Lewis repeats his goalscoring form for Tranmere (7 goals in L2 last year) for us at some point?
Brady still seems to be trying to find the right combination up front. I still think Boot and Shoe's idea of putting Hoskins up front with Etete with Connolly taking Sam's place on the wing is the way to go. However, I'd also like to see Kabamba tried up front with Etete again. Not convinced that Rose is the answer - he's now played a lot of games for us and just doesn't look like scoring. Unlike many of his striking counterparts, Etete has good movement and is getting in the right positions - I'm confident that the goals will flow for him in time as he adapts to L2 football.
On the plus side that's 3 clean sheets in 4 league games - the defensive unit of Horsfall, Guthrie and Roberts looks strong at this level.

I'll try to start with a few positives. We looked good in defence and we started to look a threat once Koiki and Connelly came on, BUT I'm starting to worry a bit about JB's philosophy. We were told to expect positive football, but I'm only seeing it when the likes of Koiki come on, and today that only happened because of Mill's unfortunate injury.
Until that point we were playing safety first football, and hoofing up to Etete and Rose, just like against Rochdale last week. To me the only excuse for playing this kind of style is against teams who are far superior, but Crawley were, quite literally, awful - the worst team I've seen us play for a long time - and we need to be much braver against sides like this. I honestly thought JB was bringing a new brand of football, but there are times we look just like a Keith Curle side. JB has said he wants players to be brave, but most of what I see is cautious, safety first football. This may be Calderwood's influence, of course.
Before the subs, the only player who looked like creating anything was Hoskins. Unfortunately he created these chances for himself only to shoot miles wide on each occasion. When we occasionally got crosses in we had nobody attacking the ball - again. I just hope JB is willing to admit we weren't at our best and doesn't take the job-well-done line just because we got a point away from home.

Can’t disagree with that, I am really frustrated with Lewis he seems to stand off players and l’m really struggling to see what he brings, McWilliams is a better ball winner and if paired with Flores we have the technical ability to unlock L2 defences. Crawley look a really poor side 2 points dropped.

Very poor, reminiscent of watching a Curle Team. Hoskins up front, no way, 5 chances one on target and gave the ball away again in midfield and almost cost us again! Rose is going backwards, no contribution at all. Not even winning flick ins now! Agree, Robert’s, Horsfall and Guthrie look fine, Flores again showed some good touches eg Pass to Etete for his shot. Connolly again a lot of running but no end product and Kabamba looks no better than BAS.

I made a comment that Crawley where a poor side and this would be a good indicator of where the manager and this teams at. At the minute we look like a side trying to find its identity.
4-4-2 is not for me and I would much rather see
McWilliams Flores/Sowerby(when he's back) Pinnock Hokins Koiki Etete
However Im not holding out any hope Brady will have any insight into what needs doing, managers tend to stick to their guns and become stubborn

Another former cobbler to score was Caleb for Villa u23's in their 1-1 draw with Fulham. 3 clean sheets in 4 league games, only Port Vale and Tranmere have conceded less with 2 each, but with only 3 scored only Tranmere have scored less with 1. I commented to my west stand neighbour on tuesday night that having conceded 6 at FGR to expect Crawley to keep a clean sheet against us. It must be really exciting being a Tranmere supporter, their results so far 1-0, 0-0, 0-0, 0-1, 0-1.
