My wife and I have just returned from a 7 day visit to Ibiza and before leaving had to fill out the relevant forms in order to travel. On our UK forms we had to use a different email address for each traveller so if you are a family of 4 you need to use 4 different email addresses. On our Spanish entry forms this was not a problem as we could use the same email and when starting the second form on answering yes to if the details of the 2nd traveller were the same as the first we did not have to input all of the information again. On arrival at Ibiza airport all of our documents were fully checked. Before our homeward journey we had to have a fit to fly antigen test done by a visiting doctor to our hotel in the 48 hours before departure which we both tested negative so we could go ahead with our flight home. This test cost 40 euros each, approx £70. We also had to prebook another covid test which we have to do ourselves and post for testing within 48 hours of our return, cost of this is £49 each. Also before returning home we had to fill out a "passenger locator form" which at Ibiza airport was not examined but asked if we had because it was required before entering the UK. On arrival at Birmingham airport we went through passport control and at no time did anyone ask to see this form. So at Ibiza airport all of our covid documents were inspected but at Birmingham we exited the airport without any inspection at all. I would also add that we were told that it was required that face masks be worn at all times in airports and on the plane except when eating. In the check in queue at Ibiza airport and again on the plane home several passengers could be seen either with their masks under their chins or totally off and the airplane staff did nothing about it. Of course these were mainly the younger travellers who think the rules do not apply to them.

Honcho - Thanks for your reply, yes it was nice to finally travel again except for our short breaks here. Weather was good, only rain came at times which did not effect us and temperature usually around 25-27c (75-80f). Not as many people around as you would normally expect and not many germans which was not a bad thing. Much nicer than visiting places like Stevenage, Walsall, Mansfield etc.
Coolcat - Sorry I cannot remind you again as I have not reminded you before. But for your information the Cobblers part of our holiday was when I returned to the hotel for our 4pm kick off to see our progress at Salford on our ipad via BBC text. Tried not to let the late equaliser spoil the rest of our holiday.
SOG - No ice creams but some very nice meals and wine in the local restaurants.

Glad you had a good holiday West Stand. I couldn't cope with all that farting around, to say nothing of the extra cost, so I will be relaxing on the Costa Moulton for the time being.
It does make me wonder though if holiday travel will ever return to normal.

A work friend tested positive for their return to the UK, spent an additional 10 days in a Spanish quarantine hotel..
As a regular traveller overseas for work, I can say its a pain as different countries have various entry requirements, multiple forms to fill out etc...and very stressful waiting for a negative test to return home..
The bucket and spade charter flights are less careful about masks/face coverings..British Airways are very strict on this..On two long haul returns this face shields were required to be worn as well as masks..

In 1974 I was catching the London train from Crewe station. It was very crowded; I found myself in a last-minute rush for the one remaining seat beside a tall, good-looking man with collar-length hair, it was the seventies; buckaroo! I looked up and saw it was none other than Peter Purves, it was the height of his Blue Peter career. He said, "You jammy bastard" and quick as a flash, I replied, "Don't be blue,............Peter!"

He certainly lived in Bilton, Rugby. Remember his house having two staircases and two huge dogs living in it when I quoted for work. Can't remember if we got the job. Not sure if he liked football and if so who he would have supported. Noakes I have down as a former Halifax Town season ticket holder and Singleton as a goal attack. Preferred Magpie though. Also not sure if any of them have contracted Covid (well Noakes certainly hasn't) or been to Ibiza.
