IA higher percentage of our home crowd will be season ticket holders than in years past. I think people will view the game as one to miss as it's not in their season ticket allocation.

My first thoughts were "a decent draw" should get a good crowd, but thinking back over the last few years, we've struggled to get much over 3,000 in the FA Cup. I know the media and the FA have allowed the cup to be downgraded but that doesn't explain why some "regular" fans don't go to cup games. Is it having to go to purchase a ticket ? the price of the ticket or what ? What do you think the ticket price should be ?
I don't get the "it's only the cup" or "concentrate on the league" That said, it is R1. £10 would be nice. £15 expected. Anything more a bit much. The only saving grace is that if they travel well, it could be a decent atmosphere Still the lottery of whether we play Friday, Saturday or Sunday though 🤷♂️

Good question, people will argue it's the 1st Round and it's 'only' Cambridge or a non-league team, so the prices should be cut. Then in later rounds the same people will moan if the prices go up when we draw City, Liverpool, Man U or Chelsea. It's a balancing act trying to attract fans without running at a loss. I think both clubs have to agree a price change don't they?

What's the best price to 'encourage' a full stadium? In the later rounds, three onwards, if we get a stellar team, unfortunately we will probably fill the stadium even if they do inflate the price. For the first two rounds, £10 would be good but I wouldn't expect more than £15 to see whether it would/does make a difference against previous similar fixtures? Would the club be prepared to take that g.amble for this game?

Oh, so basically any team that has the potential to cause an upset against us or any team we very rarely beat?
Pretty much! For me the magic of the cup is the chance to see a clash of two teams that don't often meet, often with contrasting styles and vastly contrasting backgrounds. Sometimes we're David, other times we're Goliath, either way it carries its own entertainment value and novelty. In this game we're playing a side against whom we're pretty well matched in every respect and I've seen us play more times than I've had hot dinners!

We actually haven't got that many Saturday home games between now and Christmas, so assuming this stays on the Saturday and prices are cut to say max £15, I reckon we could get 4,500-5,000 including say 750 away fans. I'm looking forward to it.

The prices wont change for this. What I would like to see the club do is give away some tickets. Pack the East stand out with local schools, kids football teams, people in the military, NHS staff etc. Really put some effort into the kids area with face paint etc, maybe free flags or foam hands. We need to get more people coming and games like this are a great opportunity, As long as they play better than they did in the game the Afghan's came to!

Great idea that. Let's get Up For The Cup. This is the sort of thing our fans representative could push. Financially the cup games should be treated as a bonus so incentives should be given to try and boost the crowd and hook the younger fans or floating fans. Would still like to see the ticket prices reduced though.

Given the historic stats for our games against Cambridge we would be better playing this on their patch. Only 8 home wins in 41 games. We have beaten Cambridge 5 times at home in 20 games and they have only beaten us 3 times in 21 games at Cambridge.

Unlike the Papa Johns and the Carabao when we tend to give fringe players a game I think we will be putting out a full strength team for this one. The fringe players will get a game on the Tuesday before when we play Brighton U21's in the Papa Johns.

I bet the BBC cried when Salford were drawn away. They must store the outside broadcast trucks in Salfords car park
