Shows how little interest there was in this game as we are still on page 2 about 2 hours after the game has finished.
Those who did not attend missed a very entertaining game with a draw being a fair result. Cambridge were a much better team than any of the recent 3 visiting teams and also better than I was expecting. Good work by Etete  for both of the goals and when he has the ball at his feet he is capable of troubling any defence. Nobody had a poor game but I think JB will be disappointed with conceding twice from free kicks near the edge of our area. Some strange decisions from the referee but some of our supporters were expecting free kicks to be given which were never going to happen.
As the replay is sandwiched between our visits to Bristol Rovers and Bradford City will JB be tempted to select a weakened team for the replay?

Thoroughly enjoyed that. Both our goals were excellent and Etete a real handful. He’s been getting better by the game.
Good atmosphere and for those that stayed away you missed a great game.

I think someone should just take this city of Peterborough and just... just flush it down the f***in' toilet

Fantastic entertainment today, a proper blood and thunder cup tie.
There wasn't a single player that failed to put a shift in.
Their effort moved into the stand with the West across the whole length really getting behind the lads.
10/10 today.

That was the most I've enjoyed a game at Sixfields in some time. Really entertaining encounter and a decent atmosphere, with a draw being a fair result. Well worth £15.

Etete is absolutely unplayable at times.

Good game and a draw just about the right result. They were a very tenacious team and we just about matched them in midfield. Referee gave some very strange decisions, let a lot of things 'flow' but at least he was consistent. Enjoyed Ete's goal and lay off for Lewis goal; is  Lewis now our leading scorer? Roberts apart from the two goals largely untroubled. Very disappointed with their two goals particularly the first as the second was a typical CupTie scramble. Seems that our defense not quite infallible as perhaps some of us thought. Regarding my top man and player Hoskins had an in and out game for me; he did work very hard tho'. In the entertaining 2nd half both sides were making unenforced errors so it could have gone either way. If we have league one ambitions we certainly need to improve in certain areas let alone how to replace Ete who was for me MOM.

Well, if we had lost a few of our recent games and then today we may well be up to 10 pages full of the usual knee jerk criticisms etc. I thought the Home attendance was disappointing again; exemplified by the almost empty North Stand.

Brilliant cup tie and crackling atmosphere which especially second half had most of the stadium joining in at times, most unlike Sixfields tbh! Wonder why it was so good for a game people weren't really talking about and where there was 1,000 down from normal. I know a Cambridge fan who was there, so will find out what he thought of it. Referee's inept performance probably added to it.
Good performances all round, nice slick football at times with plenty of attacking intent. Cambridge themselves played well and that made for a good competitive game, compared to our recent comfortable league wins. Rev an was awesome. A great replacement for McGowan. Etete a handful, best game for McWilliams I can remember as well.
It now means 3 consecutive tough away games.

Cobblers absolutely brilliant, as was the atmosphere from us in the West Stand!
Apart from 15 minutes after we scored in the first half, where Cambridge took a hold of the game, bossed it and should have won!

Etete is leagues above us - let down a couple of times by Hoskins. Saying Cambridge were dirty is lazy...complete c***s might be more apt!
Clear headbutting of McWilliams by their number 20, who the ref only gave a yellow to as an after thought following the rightly so uproar from the West Stand!
One of the best games and atmosphere in a long while...only the result putting a dampener on things!

The North Stand should join in with the West every week rather than just standing there!

The North Stand should join in with the West every week rather than just standing there!

To be fair, I've heard them do that a few times but it is hampered by the 'satellite delay' between the two when the South West don't link it...  Grin

Best game at Sixfields for ages. I must admit I was really looking forward to this game, to see how we would cope against a Lge 1 club. They are a good side but we matched them all the way, we really stuck together as a team. The crowd could sense it and really got behind the lads. The only negative was a lack of home support. UTC

I though Cambridge were a complete "Set Piece" team, creating very little from open play. That said, their set pieces were very good, some really hard to defend corners and free kicks. You can't knock them for playing to their strengths.

I thought exactly that at the time.

Aside from their first goal, which I think we could have defended more resolutely, our defence of their set pieces was very good.

Not sure who it was, but there was a superb back post aerial clearance from one of our guys late on. Could have been McWilliams?

PS - Thought their number 9 was a real handful, although fortunate to get away with the flailing arm on Guthrie around half way through the first half.

I see that JJO'T started his first game for Mansfield at centre back and helped them keep a clean sheet in their 1-0 win at Sunderland. An unexpected result seeing how poor they were when they came here.

Really entertaining game, thought Cambridge were a cut above anything we’ve played this season.

Etete's movement into the channels and his timing of his runs for both goals was top class: that's what we've been missing from our strikers ever since we lost Morton. Credit also for Hoskins and Revans for quality balls through.

I also think the partnership between Etete and Lewis as a number 10 figure is showing promising signs of bearing fruit.
