FRIDAY: Newport County v Colchester An Exiles win will see them back into the playoff places for a day at least.
2-1 down, unless they stage a late fight back and get 2 goals then their slim playoff chances are gone

Good Evening
Indeed Newport’s challenge is over, a really poor ending to the season after what looked a promising position a few months ago. At least there is no Wembley heartache this year. I’ll keep an eye on the Cobblers as my old mum is a big fan.
Good Luck guys and maybe see you next year.

Unfortunately I no longer think we will. Its very close at the top, and whilst no team seems to be grabbing it by the b0ll0x it will come down to who can put a string of results together and I cant see that being us.
My prediction is a heart breaking late goal in the second playoff semi final ending our season.
Forest Green, Exeter Newport
Swindon win the playoffs.
Shows what I know

Looks like the Oldham fans aren't happy about being relegated.

Searching for direct flights from Bangkok to Barrow but its not showing anything? I might try Glasgow. If not, just have to book Heathrow then instead unless any of you have a Cessna I can borrow?

A fantastic result today and Vale losing is the icing on the cake. It's in our own hands now, but it's us; we'll probably beat Exeter and lose against Barrow!!

Club surely got to try and get more tickets for Barrow now. We may need all the support we can get!

Well they obviously didn't today and the home ends were half empty. Could have probably had at least half the stand we were in.

If you can get hold of a Cessna, there is an airstrip at Cark, near Cartmel, right next to a Haven holiday park. I walked opposite it on Thursday on a jaunt around Humphrey Head.

Thank you Bings thats excellent advice and I quite like Haven holiday parks too which is a bonus! If I can work it out ok please drop my caravan for an after game celebratory tipple. Sorry I will be alone but I cant travel with Thai ladies (in a Cessna) due to new immigration legislation.

Walney island airport, is more or less in Barrow. Private flights only, but very fast customs control.

It could be that 4 points would be enough to get 3rd place. Exeter will be assured of promotion if they beat Barrow on Tuesday and they may be up with FGR if they don't win at Swindon. With FGR going to Mansfield on the final day Exeter will be wanting to beat Port Vale and even if Port Vale got a point they would still finish below us. That leaves Bristol Rovers who would be able to finish on 80 points with us if they won their 2 remaining games which they may do (Rochdale away and Scunny at home). We currently have a 6 goal better goal difference to Rovers but they could score heavily against an already relegated Scunny. Let's just take the 6 points to be certain.

I fear some more twists and turns but never thought it was possible for us to be in this position 3 games ago, in fact we could have easily slipped from the play offs. We have a good record against Exeter but that result could go any of three ways. I think we will beat Barrow. It’s even possible that the Barrow game could be a day of celebration with nothing on it (79 might be enough) but I very much doubt it….and we can no longer be Champions I just hope we don’t have to rely on results elsewhere. Well done boys, a great day.

Seems like we've peaked just at the right time..... Cobblers back up to 3rd and their fate is in their own hands.
Forest Green are already promoted, Exeter can join them on Tuesday night with a home victory over Barrow. Salford and Tranmere can make the playoffs at best, Mansfield and Sutton still have hopes of automatic promotion.

The three teams relegated to League 1 are already decided...Barnsley, Derby and Pish will all be playing at that level next season. Leaving League 1 for the Championship will be two from Wigan, Rotherham and MK Dons, with the other and three from Sunderland, Plymouth, Wycombe and Sheffield Wednesday fighting it out in the playoffs.

For me, Bristol Rovers are the threat...I can see them picking up six points, which will mean we will need four from our two games.
