Good win against an physical side.

Thought Kanu was poor, other two signings looked promising.

Thought the keeper  2 CB and CM played well.

Need another next week to keep the push going.

Judging purely from the radio commentary it sounds like a solid performance and it's certainly a great result.

Well, that should take our minds off KT's lack of ambition, WW2 naval vessels, TVs in Carr's Barr, and Sam Hoskins for the next 24 hours ..... or so.

+1, great win against a non league side, their support is embarrassing.
Great performance from Sam, Shaun and as usual Roberts.
Really liked the look of the lad from Leicester and the boy from Blackburn, Kanu not so much.

Well done lads, not a great game but against that shower 3 points is all that matters, and it keeps our unbeaten record against them. I thought super Sam had a great game, I know he has his limitations but he ran his heart out today. Eppiah and Magloire both look good signings and I believe Kanu will improve with a few games.

Hopefully Salford will spend another year in L2, it really couldn't happen to a nicer club.

JB's Radio Northampton interview would suggest we will make one possibly two more signings on Monday. It could be an interesting day.

I think matt Smith is the worst centre forward I've ever seen. Bloke could barely move and won about 2 headers all afternoon.

Tbh our defence has dealt with the best this division has to offer. You don’t get much change out of any of our back 5 currently….

But agree on Smith, he must be on bags and bags and will be the sort of player that gets the manager the sack….

I really don't know how they get past the FFP rules with the gates they get.

Enjoyed the game today, better game than last weeks. Kanu didnt look at the races today, although he could improve given time, the other new boys looked good, overall a much needed win.

Bit difficult to add to that, wished we could have scored a second in the 1st half. Kanu appeared to have a better 2nd half. Defense again really won us the game as all played well. Wish Kioki final ball was better at times! I don't think that Salford had a shot on goal although they did go close via a header and cross-cum-shot second half. Found it very scrappy second half; thought the 6' 6" Centre forward looked unfit and could hardly raise a gallop or get up to head the ball.
As for our new men; Eppiah changed the dynamics of the game , he is quick too and on this showing looks a real asset. Kanu may come good but the surprise pkt was the replacement centre half who was in the right place at the right time and could  pick a pass and could tackle too. Another possible asset. So out of three new loans two gave promising showings so well done JB.
Bit of a one in the eye for some on here.

We worked so hard for that today . The closing down and endeavour won us that game .
Nothing too special but the new lads looked good and we were solid .
Kanu was at the ACON and so may need to settle a little .
Happy with that - salford looked poor fit what they spend .

Thoroughly deserved that win today...

After the first 15 minutes we settled down and nullified any threat posed

Hoskins had one of his better games & McWilliams is maturing into a fantastic complete midfielder...

Both new loans who came on looked the part but Kanu looked way off the pace, so hopefully those 70 minutes in the bank will help get him up to speed...

Thought Salford were poor considering their squad & the less said about their lack of support the better...

With boro losing with the help of a Morton OG, Saturday's don't get much better!  Grin

Great to get back to winning ways and now of course unbeaten in 3 against two of the top 4 and the big spenders in the division. We were solid. New loanees looked decent, although Kanu not quite at it. Those signings now give us more options.  Pathetic away support. No reason why we can't win the next couple.

Good hard fought win. Was a bit dubious about the starting line up as we didn't offer any sort of aerial threat other than at set pieces. - but Sam really got stuck in, and it was his refusal to give up on a lost cause that got the the corner that led to the goal. Sowerby and McWilliams battled away in midfield and there was some miraculous defending in the 2nd half. Eppiah looks the real thing - good hold up play and positional sense - just hope he can score goals - we can't rely on the central defenders forever.

That's always puzzled me, they only charge £15 to get in and with around 2000 at their income must be very low

After taking an early lead the result was never in doubt as Salford offered little attacking threat other than the goal mouth scramble in the second half. Their own fans on their forum say they would not have scored if they had played another 90 minutes but were annoyed by our players going to ground and writhing around in agony.
Good work by Sam to win the corner when their player was intent on the ball going out for a throw to them and he was effective in a free roaming forward role. The defence was largely untroubled, Kanu had not played for a long time and will improve on his display and Eppiah and Magloire both impressed in their brief cameos.
Lewis was finally rightly credited with the goal and we should have had a second near the end when Koiki, after a great run, chose the wrong option of trying to beat the 'keeper from a narrow angle when he should have squared it for players waiting for a tap in.
I was on my way back to the car when I remembered that Watson was playing for them as truthfully I never noticed him. For a bankrolled club the team Salford have put together was really poor, no wonder only 128 bothered to come and support them.

Good hard fought win, probably should have been more. Eppiah looked lively, hopefully he's the striker we've been missing.
Pathetic away following, which seems depressingly normal for league 2. How many games is that now we've had an empty South stand?  Barrow will probably bring even less.
